Starving Students Movers Destroyed furniture and won't pay for it. Internet, Internet

I hired Starving Students to just move my furniture, which was not a lot, ten minutes away.  I waited for them to come, when they didn't show up, I called and they said they did not have me on the list to move and that I should have called them earlier. Luckily I had a comfirmation letter stating that I did have a reservation.  They then raised original quote because I had a piano.  They said they had to bring another person to help move it.  After being five hours late, they finally arrived.  They asked me if I wanted to buy insurance that was two hundred dollars, which I declined because I had very few things to move and because they raised the rate I was afraid I wouldn't have enough money.  The one guy they hired was complaining of not feeling well. When I walked outside by the truck, I saw my couch had been slashed down the front cushion that was sewn onto the couch.  At first they pretended not to know what happened. Then one of the movers told me that the guy they picked up had dropped the mirror that had spokes in it on top of my couch.  They said they told him not to do it but he did it anyway and ripped my couch.  I asked what would happen next and they said the company would have to pay for it.   My couched were special ordered.  The mover that did the damage said he needed an aspirin and that he did not feel well.  The manager gave me a claim number and told me just call them and they will take care of it.  When I called Melanie in the claims department, she was very rude.  She told me "Don't get mad at me, I didn't do it!"  She also stated that they would only give me .60 cents for every pound anyway so I wouldn't really get much back even if I bought some insurance. When I asked to speak to her boss or the owner, she stated that I would have to have an attorney call him.  When I asked what his name was, she stated he was an attorney and she would not give me his name.
