Be honest. Stop trying to get over on the people who work for your paycheck. Hire a new trainer. The current trainer ( initials A.P)  has no idea what she is doing. She is too busy playing dress up, shopping on eBay and sucking up to the Director than to actually train and help employees. Make a standard of procedures and stick to it. Because honestly, getting different answers from every body is unprofessional and ridiculous. 

 

Beware of the Director of Operations (initials C. B) and human resource manager (initials S.H). They play this hook line and sinker role when you initially come in to your interview. C.S will try to convince you how you have the potential of making close to 20 and more an hour, and how they're training program is one of the best and very efficient. (This is actually humorous to me, seeing how training consisted of A.P throwing a piece of paper in front of you and then send you on your merry way. So effective.) After that he has you sit with S. H and she goes on to tell you how much she loves this job and every one who comes in the door just loves it. She then pulls one of the employees out and has them lie and say how much they enjoy it and the work is fun and the benefits are great. ( I know this is a lie, because I actually spoke with the employee who did this, and she told me that she was offered voluntary time off in exchange for saying this. ) After hearing this, C.B then offers you the position, and asks for your response immediately, saying that this position has the potential of being filled within the next hour. 

 

After being hired, things start to decline. Your pay goes down to minimum wage with an impossible quota to meet. They start picking at everything you do. You eventually will either get fired or will quit if you are not one of their favorites.  

 

So be smart and stay away from this employer. Don't make the mistake that I and others have made by trusting the scam that C.S throws at you. And also, if you are black or Spanish, then you really have no chance unless you can translate. There is only 2 black people left in the department. No one of color is on the supervisor team. ( There was once, but she was smart and left. And sadly she seemed to be the only one who had a clue about what she was doing. ) 

 

As soon as I get the chance I am out of here.

The truth is, employers want good employees who excel at their jobs, and who are happy.  They don't want malcontents who complain and spread negativity around the workplace.  It doesn't make sense to fill people with false hope or to trick them, as reported in this complaint.  It does make sense that this employee wasn't happy with his experience at Catuogno/StenTel, but knowing the parties involved as I do - it seems far more likely that the employee misunderstood or misinterpreted the opportunties at the company.

Transcription work is tough mental work.  It requires a lot of concentration, excellent command of language and superior typing skills.  But being the best transcriptionist is not going make anyone rich.  There are plenty of people at this company that make $20/hr. or more as transcriptionists, but they are the best of the best.  The former employee who wrote this "Rippoff Report" was not the best of the best, and since his pay was based on his  production, like many jobs are - he did not achieve the financial benefits he had hoped for.

We wish every employee could find a way to succeed with us, but we are not the only company who has seen employees fail to reach their fullest potential.  That's a fact of life, and we continually try to improve our training and management of employees who come to us.  The good ones are a very precious resource to our company.  This is the honest truth.
