They send out a brochure offering "Free" hearing aid tests to unsuspecting consumers.  They have no conscious or concern for anything but MONEY.  My mother is a senior citizen and thought it would be nice to get a Free hearing aid exam especially since she is living on a very limited income. She went to the office on Hoover Rd and met Harold Davenport who did her hearing exam, after her exam he told her that she needed hearing aids and if she bought them her brain would function better, she would not have stability problems while walking and standing.  Now this is the kicker, she is 81 years old and no way are hearing aids going to improve her brain activity nor her stability that has to due with muscle decline.  Tell anyone who is that age that their brain activity and stability would improve they would think hearing aids were great.  I get a call from my mother, I live out of state, Harold gets on the phone telling me my mother has hearing loss, which I know that to be true most people do at 81.  I did authorize checking my credit in the chance we were going to order hearing aids. After checking my credit I spoke in more detail with Harold about what type of hearing loss he thought my mother had and when he told me that her brain & stability would improve and she needed the Thin tube hearing aids that would cost $5500.00 and then he started pressuring us into making a decision that moment I asked him to turn the phone back over to my brother, I stated to my brother we were not making a decision at this point I wanted to take the weekend to think about this, while we were talking Harold told my mother to sign a paper misleading her by saying "If you decide to order than this will save you a trip coming back".  My brother told Harold we were not ordering now, he kept pressuring them, which again he was told we are not going to order we want the weekend to think about it,  it was necessary to also tell the receptionist 3 times we were not ordering.

After the pressure placed on my mother in that appointment to order we had no plans to buy anything from Sterling hearing.

I called and left a voice mail stating we would not be ordering and please stop calling my mother, well it was no suprise the pressure sales phone calls continued and then Harold told my mother "I ordered your hearing aids" and you need to come it to get them fitted.

I think Harold needs hearing aids, it is apparent that he does not hear what people say.

I again called the office only to get voice mail again, Harold did return my call.  I told him we never authorized the ordering of the hearing aid and he replied "Your mother signed the form".  I said "the form you mislead, pretty much lied to her to get her to sign".  Then he continued to say that she authorized the credit in my name to pay for the devices.  He had no answer when I stated "my mother has no legal right to sign for me nor does she have Power of Attorney over me and my finances."

The next day she finds an overnighted Fedex package sitting on her porch.  Guess what it was, yes hearing aids she DID NOT order.  I called and spoke with Natasha telling her we did not order them, we need to return them and I better not be billed for this.  We made several attempts to return them to the Hoover Rd office, but they were not open.  I called and explained we wanted to return them, I was told that we needed an appointment, I said I do not need an appointment to return them, then I a message would be left for Harold.  Harold did call and said we did not need an appointment to return them, HELLO that is what I told his staff, but we had to wait until he had an appointement at his office to return them.  This was Friday and there was a possibility the following Tuesday he would be there. He said I will see what I can do for you regarding returning them, really what about the 90 day return guarantee. We never opened the box, they wanted us to keep them and were delaying the return.  We returned them to Fedex and apparently now they are sitting in Tennessee waiting for an account number from the company to authorize payment for the return.  He said I will see what I can do for you.

When I told Harold we returned them to FEDEX he was quite mad and said we should not have done so, well he should not have ordered them.  Low and behold I received a bill. I am now in the process of filing fraud charges and looking into a lawsuit against Sterling Hearing.

He also went so far as to ask if I asked my mother what she wanted to do, like this jerk cares about her...

STAY FAR AWAY, THEY PREY ON PEOPLE WITH LIES.
