Steve Brown Flooring - SB Distributors Contractor Took Large Deposit and then became unreachable Durham Trenton Ontario

It appears there have a number of complaints filed about Steve Brown and his illegal and unethical business practices. We are also victims. He took a $5000 deposit from us to supposedly order 'Gunstock' maple wood flooring and then he became unreachable. I lost many nights of sleep and wasted countless hours trying to track him down. Our new house was consequently not ready to move into and it messed up our closing date. He is a con artist and pathalogical liar, and has no remorse or conscience. I suspect any assets are in his wife's name. Judging from the numberous fraud compliants and alleged bankruptcy actions, I am doubtful that we will ever recoup our $5000 deposit. I filed a police report back in Apr/08 with Smiths Falls police and more recently with DR police. I have not yet filed a claim through Small Claims Court.
