On November 29, 2012, I had a 1996 Chevrolet C3500 towed to Stingray Chevrolet for repair. I spoke with the service technician named Jeremiah and was initially told the truck needed the PMD sensor replaced. Once that was done, I received a phone call a few days later when the technician said the waste gate solenoid valve needed to be replaced as well as the A/C compressor. I gave him the go ahead. By the time I picked up the truck I paid $1889.99 for Stingray Chevrolet to replace the PMD sensor, waste gate solenoid valve, and A/C compressor.

Upon starting the truck for the first time, the a/c and fan were not working, the brake light and ABS light were lit and would not go out. The technician who had worked on the truck had gone out to lunch and I was required to leave the truck there. A few days later, I received another call from Jeremiah, stating that the wheel speed sensor was bad and the fan motor was also going bad. I gave Jeremiah the go ahead to replace the two parts, costing another $278.30. I returned to the shop to pick up the truck. After leaving the facility, the radio no longer worked and the truck stalled out two times within 16 miles. I called Jeremiah extremely frustrated. He sent out a tow truck to pick up the truck and have it towed back to the shop. Jeremiah stated that the truck was out of fuel. I told him that could not possibly be the case since there was only 75 miles on two twenty gallon tanks of fuel. Jeremiah insisted he was correct and the truck was out of gas. I instructed him to keep the truck and confirm that the problems were finally fixed.

Once the holidays were over, I went back to Stingray Chevrolet to pick up the truck. Jeremiah assured me that everything was operational and the truck was ready. As I was driving home, I turned on the AC and it blew out hot air. At that point, I was disgusted with the workmanship I received at Stingray Chevrolet and decided to take the truck elsewhere.

A local mechanic found the wires to be loose at the air compressor, and no Freon in the system. When I originally dropped the truck off to Stingray Chevrolet, the a/c, blower, and radio worked fine. It seems the blower motor did not need to be replaced.

I sent a letter to Stingray Chevrolet, via certified mail, on January 19, 2013 voicing my disappointment and frustration and demanding some type of resolution to have the work I paid for finally completed. They received the letter on January 23, 2013. I have never received a response from anyone at Stingray Chevrolet. On February 7, I contracted GM in Detroit to final a complaint. GM opened up a complaint file (case# 71-1152815811). I was told they would be contacting the dealership to get this matter resolved. Upon following up with Maria at GM, there has been no response to their inquiry.

I recently learned from the gentleman that sold me the truck, that the A/C compressor, accumulator, and blower motor were changed prior  to my purchase back In June 2012, and the parts were under warranty when Stingray Chevrolet charged me for the same  parts.
