I have had straight talk for 3 months now. Im at the point that come January of 2015 I will seek out another company and not continue using Straight Talk. The first incident was trying to change my service from ATT (Due to their false adverstisment of data.
I was paying $40 a month on average on top of my $60 so I had some kind of data use. Once you use up the 2.5 Gb that are included with the $60 plan, AT&T stops ALL data from coming through to your phone. No internet at all unless one pays $10 for 1 gb ) Once I decided to go with straight talk , I figured it would be an easy transition. Not at all. It took me over 5 hours to have all the issues taken care of from : Trying to transfer my cell phone number , which didnt happen. Trying to get my internet service up on the phone, to sending me to all of gods creation with Apple for some kind of pin number that does not exist for my iphone.
Today I made my payment and it irritates me that I am paying $4.47 in fee's for service. My plan is $45. Adverstised as no extra fees yet eache month its a different amount. Last month it was $3.34 extra. I pay with my credit card over the phone. If they are charging extra fees , it needs to be disclosed to customers before payment is made. It should be disclosed at time of signing up with the company as well. These fee's need to be broken down and explained what each charge is for.
I am a hairstylist, if I charged clients extra fee's without explaing what I am charging for I would have no clients. I would also have my business reported. We also do not charge a seperate tax on services provided. So I do not understand where these fees are coming from. We charge tax on products clients purchase not services. We need to get it together here and look out for consumers. Its a total rip off what companies get away with and we as consumers continue to go on our merry way with empty pockets.
Straight talk has great service but no service is worthe being ripped off for. Onto the next carrier I go.
