Until today I had nothing bad to say about Straight Talk. Other than some minor glitches in coverage, I was happy with their services. Last week my phone had its final unfortunate fall and I was forced to order another. Normally I would have gone through Walmart, but the price difference varied too much, so I simply ordered at Straight Talk's website. It said the phone would be shipped overnight and someone would have to sign for delivery, which is expected. Now I work for a living so chances were I was not going to be home when FedEx arrived, but you never know because they sometimes deliver late. Now just for background, I had had plenty of other packages delivered since moving in from a variety of different carriers including FedEx and never had a problem.

I waited around as long as I could, but had to step out. When I returned there was still no package and no "we were here" slip from FedEx. I checked the tracking number online and was told they had delivered about 40 minutes before and that it had been signed for. Well that was impossible, because my dog wasn't opening the door at my house. Now I know all this sounds as if my beef should be with FedEx...well it is too, but mostly it's with Straight Talks treatment of a loyal customer seeking assistance. I waited all weekend, and even checked again this morning to see if perhaps FedEx had made some mistake. As soon as Straight Talk opened I hoped onto the online chat (because I have no phone).

I explained my situation to the Rep. Waited for over 30 minutes for him to "check" and "utilize his tools". Finally he comes back and tells me "the package has been delivered and was signed for". I was told I should "ask someone in my house (my dogs not talking) or ask a neighbor (why would a neighbor have signed for a package that was supposed to be delivered to my address, it's really not hard to mix up addresses where I live). So I explained once again I have not, signed for or received any package, my dog doesn't talk, and I don't know my neighbors. He tells me FedEx requires ID and a signature to match the name on the package. Well anyone who's ever received a package knows that’s total BS. Whoever opens the door signs for it, period, they don't care who you are.

Because only the shipper can see the actual signature on the delivery receipt, I asked the Rep if there was any way I could get a copy of the delivery receipt, because well this whole thing just became fraud. He once again tells me I signed for it and there is nothing they can do. When you ship something to someone it's your responsibility to track that package until it has touched the hands of the person you've shipped it to. Straight Talk didn't in any way shape or form try to take responsibility or help me their loyal customer. They just put it off on FedEx, which is fine, but at least offer to contact them on my behalf (once again I have no phone). I really didn't appreciate the Reps attitude and I wasn't allowed to speak to anyone higher up. I'm penning a letter after I finish this, to the corporate office. I think it's completely absurd that I've paid for a phone, never received it, and they get to keep my money. FedEx is "looking into it" meanwhile everyone is happy, and I'm stuck still with no phone! Unfortunately after this incident, I'm taking my business back to Verizon, where I now have to purchase another phone, because no seems to know what has happened to my package I magically signed for while being 15 miles away.

I use to reccomend Straight Talks services to everyone, but I can no longer do that. I've convinced all my family members with their service to switch as well. I'm sure they don't care, but I took a few pennys out their jar for this HUGE inconvience and loss they've caused me.
