This dispute is about StubHub's refusal to cancel an order, even immediately after the order was placed.
So, I placed an order for concert tickets. As soon as the order went through I noticed that it was for the wrong venue. Oops! So of course I wanted to cancel the order immediately.
I contacted StubHub's customer service via chat. They refused to cancel the order and instead offered to help me resell the tickets. This infuriated me! You're telling me that you cannot cancel an order 5 minutes after it was made?
So I got on the phone with a customer service agent, and they relisted the tickets for me. For me to get my money back, the ticket has to sell for about $20 more than what I paid to accomodate StubHub's fee's. If they don't sell, I guess I'm stuck. If they do sell, StubHub pockets the $20.
Just cancel the order StubHub. Just because you don't own the ticket doesn't mean you can't cancel the order. You can cancel an order on eBay, and it's basically the same concept. StubHub is a ripoff.

StubHub could take measures to allow a grace period for someone to cancel an order. But they choose not to, presumably because they make a lot of money from accidental orders. The transaction costs are so high that simply allowing you to relist tickets is very costly, with StubHub pocketing the money.
StubHub -- it's time to let people cancel their order if they e.g. pick a wrong venue date, and call you within an hour. I would like StubHub to explain to us all why this is not possible, if they are monitoring this forum.
