Zack Geist of Student Loan Tutor hired me to help their struggling company with online lead generation.  I've had a lot of success in their space, providing screenshots and examples of marketing campaigns that can explode their business with phone calls (leads).

We engaged in a deal where I would do 4 1-hour phone calls and show them exactly how to advertise on Facebook. Our first 2 calls went over the allotted 60-min duration (most like 90min) and they were asking for specific examples of my campaigns, which was not agreed upon, but I sent via email anyway.

They had hired a girl that struggled to put together the marketing plan I was outlining.  I eventually sent them a template I used in the past to create these pages for marketing.  The ended up using that template I sent over.

The marketing gal didn't know HTML, so they had asked me to help them do it -- which again, was not agreed upon -- but I stepped in and got it done.

At this point, we were 2 weeks into our consulting agreement and they were getting really antsy about leads.  So they asked me if I could just setup the campaigns, help them get Facebook accounts and also completely setup the entire funnel (phone call, ad copy, ad images, etc...).  Again, this was not agreed upon during our initial consulting agreement, but once again, I decided to help them out since they really needed leads quickly.

As you can see, at this point, I've given them a ton of intellectual property of my campaigns that have generated 1000's of calls in the student loan debt business vertical.

After it was all setup, they went dark.  I left voicemails with Zack Geist.  I texted him.  No response.  Then I got a chargeback.  No email letting me know.  No trying to work it out. Just a chargeback, essentially stealing all my intellectual property.

If you're a marketing company, be careful working with them.  If you plan on working with Student Loan Tutor, this is what they do to their vendors and marketing people they hire.  They claim to be ethical, but at this point, I'm not sure.
