Publishers Clearing House send me a letter advising me that I have won 1 million dollars and all I needed is to send them a payment of $9.95 to process the paperwork. I've send a letter with a check for $9.95 and told them that they will receive additional $1000.00 from me when I receive the payment of 1 million.
They couldn't cash my check because it was fake like the 1 million they promised. After a week passed I was contacted by Sunrise Credit Services and told that they are trying to collect a debt of $34.95. The original $9.95 plus $25.00 service charge for not being able to cash it.
I told them that they can subtract that amount from the money they owe me 1 million dollars :-)
I was told that I will not be able to get a credit if I don't pay the amount owed etc. etc.
All I want is for the phone calls and the letters to stop. They can even keep the 1 million they owe me.

Fake check

I doubt very seriously they will do anything about a fake check. In the first place they'd have to admit they aren't PCH! That would go over real good before a judge. Don't worry about it.

"All I want is for the phone calls and the letters to stop. They can even keep the 1 million they owe me."
When you write a check, you are making a commitment to pay the amount on the check. When you write a fake check you are commiting a crime and can also be held responsible for making good on the check. If "I was just kidding" was a valid defense for writing a bad check, then checks would be worthless. Congratulations. You appear to have successfully scammed yourself. We don't see that too often on this site.

Why?

That letter was from a scammer, not Publishers Clearing House. Why did you send them a fake check? Are you aware that was a crime?
