In April 2012, Sunrun/Verango misled my wife and I about how much our solar system would save us.  The salesman told us that we would save $50-$100 per month if we installed their solar system.  Mr. James Moser form Verango said enter into a contract with Sunrun and pay $.24KW on a 5200KWH/yr system for an average bill of $111 a month.  He also stated/urged that we should pay Edison $20-$30 a month to even out at the end of the year.  Put those two numbers together minus my $225 average monthly bill without solar the previous year and my savings were supposed be around $75 month.  And for no money down, it was a no brainer.  Awesome deal for both sides.

After the first year, Edison hit me with an end of year bill for an additional $1100 not counting the $20 I'd been paying them a month.  Also, my system overproduced roughly 1300KWH which I paid $.24KW.  Long story short, NO SAVINGS WERE RECORDED MY FIRST YEAR.

In May 2013, I contacted SunRun (Gaiwin)and he told me "SUNRUN'S STANCE OF ZERO SAVINGS THE FIRST YEAR WAS EXPECTED WITH MODEST SAVINGS TO ACCUMULATE EACH ADDITIONAL YEAR MINUS SUNRUN'S INFLATION RATE OF 2.9% ON KW PRODUCED".  Sunrun (Tom Asher) stated that saving $50-$100 a month was very unrealistic and the salesman should not have told me that. They did credit my account the over production but are unwilling to do so again.

The only reason I agreed to a solar system was to save money.  Very misleading and deceptive. Who agrees to install solar without saving money.
