I'm the overseer of my grandmother's account at suntrust and I've been taking care of it for the past 3 1/2 years, back in dec of 2012 I had an overdraft that was my fault but within less than 12 hrs they charged me 2 overdraft fees for that particular item. I have made 3 over drafts in the past 3 yrs, I don't deny this but then feb. 19 2013 I noticed a 72.00 overdraft fee on her account on her online statement, it actually caused the overdraft in her account. I didnt even have an overdraft and had 411.81 to cover a 17.61 charge that accrued on on the 16th and but then I had 2 other debits on the 16th along with 5 other debits that accrued between the 17th and the 18th that were held til the 19th in a pending status. They combined a 17.39 debit that accrued on the evening of the 19th and the 17.61 that accrued on the 16th, combined then to overdraft the account and charged my a charge of 72.00 and it hadn't even been 20 hrs since I debited the 17.39 and the they were taking this overdraft fee from the account. They still held the 17.61 in a pending status til the 22nd but it shows up as it being pending til the 21st I even copied the online statement for 3 days. I was so mad and all they could tell me was they couldn't help it if it doesn't show on my online account where I made the mistake. which they didn't give me a print out of what there records were showing either to prove me otherwise. I'm going to turn them into the better business bureau and transfer all her money to my bank. I will not put up with again!
