My son went in to buy milk for the family.  They advertised 2 for $5.  He was charged $8.28 for two gallons.  When he a questioned the price, they pointed out that they were two different types of milk and offered no additional assistance or direction.  My son ended up paying for the milk at their price on the register.  Came out feeling stupid.  Guess we are shopping piping there.

#1 UPDATE EX-employee responds

I used to work for this company

AUTHOR: sb61fury - ()

I also worked for this company back in 1988-1989. The hours this company gave you sucked and so did the pay. 1 week I would get 20 hours then the 2nd week 17 or less on a 2 week pay period. I started to look for a 2nd job for extra income. Then I left the company and went to were I got 40 hours a week and better pay.

I went back and told every body that the company sucked and the pay was lousy

#2 UPDATE EX-employee responds

Super Moo

AUTHOR: Cain - ()

I do not care for this company (SA), as they are a horrid company to work from random starting wages, bad employee relations to old fashion bad management, both for store and DM's failure to take interst in overall  progress - the majority of the "managment team" appears to suffer from inferiority complex's.

With that being said, I want to clairify that in no instance am I taking their side simply because I used to work there (I left on my own accord out of disgust due to poorly run store, and the stream of ignorant people that flow through the door hourly).

The milk in question is advertise as 2 for $5, and this is correct, however, one must be literate to understand that this is for the SUPER MOO brand. It says so right on the price tag in big letters!! With fine print stating "or regular price each". Since Super America only stocks two brands of milk: SUPER MOO and LAND O LAKES, it is obvious that this child picked one of each. While granted, the staff at S.A. get their customer service skills  from management examples, it is still the consumers responsibility to READ what they are purchasing, and ask questions.

For example ".. which one of these is the 2 for $5?"  The child "ended up paying for the milk at their price on the register" because he CHOSE TO DO THIS , he was not forced. He could have put them both back (or leave them for the staff memeber), and walk out the door and shop at another location.

With hourly wage set at a phenominally HIGH $7.5/hr and extraordinary customer service skills - really not sure why this company gets rip-off complaints - do you?
