Superior Auto Centers Inc. Goodyear Alternator ripoff. Made no attempt to repair true problem, even after I told them what was wrong. Pinellas Park, Florida

My friend, Michael Sovereign Sr., had a dead battery and phoned me for a jump and a ride.  We took his Astrovan to the Goodyear store where his son, Michael Soverign, is the manager. 

The Goodyear store replaced the alternator and battery, and sent the minivan home.

Two days later, the battery is dead again.  The Goodyear store replaced the alternator.

Repeat paragraph 3.

Two days later, the battery is dead again.  I measured the current draw from the battery while parked and it was .67 amps (totally wrong).  This being the 4th trip to get the repair done, I told the technician what was wrong.  The Goodyear store replaced the alternator.  When questioned about repairing the real cause of the problem, Michael Sovereign said, "If you come back again, we will have to start charging you by the hour".  For what?  For not even checking the real problem???

I put a meter on the battery and started pulling fuses.  I found the problem and corrected it in 35 minutes.  Something is wrong with the power door lock circuit.  Unplugging that circuit stopped the current leakage.  The power door locks don't work, but the minivan doesn't need a new alternator every two days, either!

In four repairs, the Goodyear store never even checked to see why they were replacing the alternator every two days.  When told why they were replacing the alternator every two days, they still did nothing to fix the problem.  The bill was over a thousand dollars, and the problem was never fixed.

If Michael Soverign will do this to his own father, guess how you will be treated!!!
