BUYER BEWARE - VERY UNPLEASANT experience with Superior Power Sports - a RIP OFF OPERATOR located in City of Industry CA.
I attempted to make a purchase from superior power sports on 11/29/13 in time to get the go kart for my nephews.
The order on the web site went through fine.
I even received my confirmation email, and a buySAFE Guarantee email saying my purchase was Guaranteed.
I wish I had read the reviews before placing the order.
Two days latter I received an email from customer service indicating they would not be able to ship to my nephews address since it was different from my billing address.
They asked me if I wanted to have the go kart shipped to the billing address and I told them I did not want that.
I live in Las Vegas, and my nephews live in VA.
Concerned they may think my transaction was fraud I called them to discuss the matter in person.
I told them that American Express had my nephews address on file as an approved delivery location, and it was not fraud but that is where I wanted the product shipped.
The customer service rep suggested I wire them money vs use my Amex - red flags went off, and I did a google search for reviews.
They have a terrible reputation. The customer service rep then informed me that the order would be canceled and I just needed to fill out the cancellation form.
Well the cancellation form has me authorizing them to charge $100 to cancel the order. They never processed the order and they canceled the order.
Why would I agree to any charge. I asked them nicely to cancel the order and to move on without the charge. I explained to them I was getting very upset.
I further explained that I would right reviews to try and help other customers BEWARE. They responded with an email showing me some hidden terms and conditions from the web site.
I also explained I would advise AMEX of this issue and initiate a charge back through them.
Why not tell customers at the time of purchase they wont ship to anything except the billing address ? No need to try and get $100 from me or others like me.
No need to make customers unhappy, and they could focus on taking care of the customers they want.
This is another reason why I rarely shop anyplace but AMAZON.
