Classic ripoff not detected by victim. Unsolicited phone call saying they had detected hacking on our computer which would bring it down and they could help. Entered into service  contract but no service. One month later called to discuss contract saying they could provide refund. Then tried to take money out of credit card acct rather than put in, as they said they intended. Then asked for cash via Western Union to make up some difference in the amt paid and the check to be issued. IF NOT, chaos would ensue, bank account would be emptied, and implication they knew of other accounts, and they knew bank acct to dollar, and they would crash and forever ruin our computer. In order to close bank acct, we acquiesced to first request for $220 through Western Union, and in window of 30 minutes they gave us, closed our acct and notifed all others of fraud potential. Next day, he called (Md Javed of Kolkata, West Bengal, India. and demanded $300 since his accountants would let him only send a check of $1000. We refused, he was angry that we had closed our bank account, and he crashed our computer, taking three days of consulting help on site so far to get back. We have reported this scam to the FTC.
