Maybe I can Help

I have noticed a lot of ripoff reports about Sweepstakes Clearinghouse. I just thought I would share my experiences with them and offer some suggestions. I received the same papers in the mail about "winning" an item at a discounted rate. Honestly, one does not win anything at a discounted rate. It is a ploy to get you to buy something that you probably could find at a store at close to the same cost, but I do have to say that the quality of the products that I have received have been impecable. The customer service has been impecable as well. I think one of the biggest mistakes by consumers with this company is that they do not read the fine print. The discounted amount does not include shipping and handling charges. My $80 luggage ended up costing $110 after shipping and handling. The heavier the item is the more you will pay to have it shipped. For others, just remember to take advantage of the "Lay-A-Way" plan at first. Send in only the required $10 with your coupon. This will ensure that the company will send you monthly "bills" or "reminders" of what is owed (which will include the shipping costs). At that time if you do not think it is a fair price, you are only out $10. Also, any customer can access their accounts online at www.sweepstakesclearinghouse.com, but you will need your last name and account number. I have been lucky, I guess, in that I was also able to find a phone number for their customer service department. It is (214) 915 - 7100. You may have to go through several areas to get to a human being, but eventually it tells you to hit the "*" (star) key to speak to a human being. They have always been helpful to me with everything from questions to invoices. I think as consumers we must exercise more caution as to whom we send large amounts of money to. We need to read the fine print, and get addresses and phone numbers to companies. Before I ever paid off my first product order, I had the customer service phone number. It is hard to ignore a customer who calls you personally; whereas, this company may receive thousands upon thousands of pieces of mail a day in orders and questions. I hope the web address and phone number I have listed is helpful to all who have had a problem with this company. Good Luck to all, but I am sure with a phone call all can be cleared up quickly.

By The Way -- I do not work for this company. I am just a customer of more than four years. Thank you and Have A Wonderful Day!!!

Finally, if you really want to be sure (I know money is tight all around), you can call customer service at the number above and get a human on the phone. They should be able to tell you up front how much the total cost would be for any item that you might like, just be sure to ask about shipping and handling (and taxes). I do not know if they can take orders over the phone for new customers, but I have submitted orders over the phone after I sent my first order in by mail (and I did not have to put any money down on the order; they just sent me the bill in the mail). I do not know if this will work for everyone, though, so please do not expect it, but it does not hurt to try. :) Also, this company has an "outlet" site, but I do not remember the URL. You should be able to get it from customer service though, and sometimes the items at the "outlet" site are pretty good deals. That is my opinion, though. I have not been on the "outlet" site in over a year. I hope this helps. Happy Holidays to All!!!
