I ordered an engine for my 1993 Honda accord. The sales rep claimed it only had 66,000 miles and was a complete engine. I questioned him specifically about what I would receive and he guaranteed me that only the alternator, a/c pump, and power steering pump would be missing. I ordered the engine and was told they would be sending me and order authorization form my email which i was to fax back.
When I got the form, I noticed that, at that point, even if I cancelled the order, they would charge me 25%  restocking fee. Strange, I thought.
The engine arrived 3 weeks later. I noticed at that point that it was missing the distributor, the ignition coil, and the idle air control valve that is over $300 dollars in parts. I called to complain and they were very rude. I talked to Dale Jones and he basically just told there was nothing he can do. So now I have paid $940 for the engine and need $300 in parts just to get it going.
As part of the contract for the warranty, I was required to change the timing belt and thermostat. Another $120 in parts. I finally got all the parts rounded up had the engine on a stand, ($60 more dollars) was going to change the timing belt. First, I noticed and aftermarket belt on the engine. Hondas do not require timing belt replacement until 160,000 miles. Instantly I knew this engine had at least 100,000 miles more on it than they told me. To top it off, it was out of time and the crank would not go through a full rotation. It was not even in running condition as they promised! I contacted Dale and was met with nothing but hostility. I then researched them and found numerous cases of them ripping people off. Something has to be done. I am now trying to gather enough information to file a class action lawsuit that I hope results in every one of those involved being imprisoned, plus compensation for all.

I have also been ripped off by swengines. Just search for swengines to see my report. They sent me a bad motor (rod knock) and then refused to honor the 3yr warranty I purchased because I hadn't driven it 501 miles! You read that right: bad motor (rod knock), and no warranty because I didn't drive the bad motor 501 miles. Dale Jones is a con-artist. I am currently pursuing a case with the Wisconsin DA's office. He already has several complaints. I strongly suggest you do the same to have a chance at recovering your money.
