They work their employees for up to 8 and a half hours with giving any form of breaks, only after a 9 hour or longer shift do you get a break. And then sometimes you don't even get that if they forget to give it, which happens a bit. Then, they allow their asst. managers to bring personal matters into work and literally abuse the employees physically. My wife was one of these employees, and she would come home with black and blue marks from where she had been hit by her asst. manager or where the asst. manager had thrown something at her. All because she had outside issues with my wife. When my wife talked to the main manager about this and explained that she didn't feel safe working with this new asst. manager, she was told to stick it out. Not liking this answer my wife gave them two weeks notice, so she could seek employment elsewhere. Her manager told her don't bother coming back then. Now keep in mind that this is the ONLY taco bell here in town that does this, at least to my knowledge. So my wife contacted a friend of hers who works and manages one of the other taco bells, and he wants to hire her. But her old manager still has her in the computer and refuses to release her status. Therefore her friend can't hire her while she is still in the court street taco bell's computer, so she is basically black-balled.
She called her old manager back, to ask why she was doing this. And she wouldn't get on the phone to talk to her, she gave the following info to other employees to tell my wife. She said that the reason she was black balling her was because I(not my wife) had reported her to corporate for the things that I have listed above. I found this to be very childish, and unprofessional.........especially for a General Manager's behavior. So that is the story, and I just wanted to let people know that this is obviously condoned by the CORPORATE Offices of Taco Bell because they refuse to do anything about it. And yes the Taco Bell in question, is a corporate owned one. That said, I know they will never see my business again. And as far as I am concerned, they themselves can head for the border.

This seems to be normal behavior for corporate taco bell... no they don't deserve to be capitalized.. the same things happen much worse in franchise stores.. they fired me for no call no show on my off day after two days of training.. when I finally went in to get my check and turn in my hat and shirt, they called the police to me.. this happened at the felton drive location in Rockmart, Ga... I was supposed to be training on the backline for a week two hours per day.. wound up washing dishes for eight hours straight my second day.. after the assistant manager told me that I had sunday off, they fired me for no call no show.. my file is the top file on the desk in their office and I have a photo of it..
I presented picture ID and everything.. you will very promptly see a full ripoffreport as soon as I get the photo uploaded.. yes, photo of my file lying on the top of the owner's desk.. all of those who had hands in firing me have been fired for sexual harrassment and stealing..
what can I do to receive my paycheck?? any suggestions????

I was a Shift Manager at Taco Bell in Ohio for a little over 8 months, during my employment there I was constantly verbally abused by my Assistant Manager, I had her transfered to another store and she decided that she wanted to get me fired. She called in a FAKE PRC to our store stating that I was drinking and dancing on tables in the lobby after 11pm (when the dining room closes) it was the most off the wall, complaint I've ever heard of.
In the middle of all the drama I had been through 3 GM's and 2 entire crews. It was the most ridiculous thing I had ever seen. I was working over 50 hours a week, with no breaks and to top it off our Area Coach was too cheap to fix the air-conditioning.
I agree Taco Bell employs an awful lot of idiots and can be unfriendly at times and its because of they get rid of the people that actually have a brain.
Im really glad I no longer work there.
(Trust me I have stories upon stories, but thats the jist of it)

Did you take pictures of the bruises? Did you call the police and file a report?? If the assnt. manager was taken to jail, they MIGHT have fired her. Probably not, but at least corporate Taco Bell would be aware of this issue.
