First you will get (SPAM) from "Talent Wanted <rizzolitnt@gmail.com>" claiming to be representing CBS and Warner Brothers for a fake film (in this case a fake film called "ENTOURAGE"), asking you to reply with a subject with the fake film's name. Then you get an auto-response e-mail with questions: 1) What decade were you born? > > 2) What age range would you be best able to play?  3) What's your gender?  4) Briefly describe any previous acting experience you've had, such as student films, online videos, television acting, or live theater.  5) What is a daytime cell phone number where you can be reached? Then you get another e-mail asking you to go to this link: talentcalls.fxvn.net/ Which asks you to pay $18.96 just to subscribe to more listings (not even to give you information on the location/date/time for the casting on the fake film). Remember, any agency that asks you to pay any amount to work or to be listed for work, is illegal in California and is a SCAM. Legitimate agencies take a percentage commission from whoever hires you.

Same scam again, new e-mails:

Audition Updater <judithfarrow9403@gmail.com>
NBC Casting Call <NBCComedyPilot@gmail.com>

Again, those e-mail addresses are just SPAM collectors that put your e-mail on a list, you'll get the same SPAM/SCAM mentioned in the first post.

The commonlity in all these SCAMs is (aside from the obvious fact that NBC does not use gmail) is that the SPAM is signed by "Megan Hoffman" but the "from" e-mail name is different.

Example:

Hello!

I'm sending this email to announce that the major new show "Mission Control" from NBC is hunting for acting talent!

The executive producer of this hysterical upcoming series in the style of "Anchorman" will be Will Ferrell.

The series begins shooting in Late March and there's still a number of roles open.

Would you like further details? Email us back with the words "MISSION CONTROL" in the subject line.

Good Luck!

New e-mail addresses:

zombielandpilot@gmail.com
aprilfilmshoot@gmail.com

Watch out for the SCAMS using new subjects as well:

Eight Parts Open on Julianne Moore Film
Upcoming Julianne Moore Film 'STILL ALICE' Needs Talent

There is no such movie "STILL ALICE" being made. They all contain the name of a (an assumed fake) person Megan Hoffman. If you reply to any of those e-mails you get a autoreply SPAM to go to a link that asks YOU to PAY to subscribe to a list full of more fake jobs and SCAMS.

New e-mail addresses, old scam

AUTHOR: Sandra - ()

POSTED: Monday, February 03, 2014

Just came across an old scam from TalentCalls.fxvn.net (aka "Megan Hoffman") from some new e-mail address:

Talent Wanted <aprilfilmshoot@gmail.com>
Casting Call <zombielandcasting@gmail.com>
Auditioning Now <christophrbarr@gmail.com>

Just watch out for those, they give you the same spam with the link to the scam site to subscribe to more fake job listings.
