Taste of Elegance Chef Maurice THE CHEF FROM HELL!!!! Georgia

 On June 29, 2014 the Bride was preparing to marry the Man of her life, the family had gathered at the Cruz Building (Coral Gables, Fl.) to see the beautiful union. Months and months of planning, cake tastings, dress/suit fittings, and rehearsals the day was finally here.  Everything was going as planned, the wedding party entered the room and the crowed was in awe when the beautiful bride graced us with her beauty. The couple of the hour exchanged nuptials, and we were ready to enjoy a day of fellowship, drinks and great food. But unfortunately, we were in for a rude awakening! Cocktail hour had begun and to our surprise the cocktails were not prepared and furthermore there was not enough for our 200+ guest. Chef Maurice Randal, of Taste of Elegance had done the unthinkable. Our dinner had turned into a Disaster, Chef Maurice and his entire staff was completely UNPROFESSIONAL. The salad came out to the tables extremely late with no salad dressing, the servers were inexperienced; they failed to have the proper equipment to serve us, no Ice, water, or Tea. They served the wedding party last, and it was so embarrassing that the servers were serving hot tap water out of used wine bottles. And to add insult to injury there wasn’t enough salad for our guests, he sent one of his staff members out to purchase more salad and it was still no dressing.

Then came out the dinner, cold, undercooked and the presentation was horrible. Of course, the staff again proved my theory of being inexperienced because they were serving our guest in 30 minute increments. Our guest noticed the rice was hard, the seafood was not cooked correctly, and the vegetables were burnt. This happened after we paid a deposit, not to mention he (Chef Maurice) requested more money to purchase food.  He arrived late, staff dressed poorly, food not prepared in time, and food not cooked correctly. He sabotaged our special day and acted as if he was not concerned. We had him and his staff escorted out of the wedding, and our family and really good friends got together and prepared new food and served to our guest. It was disheartening that he would do such a thing and not have any sympathy or compassion for his wrong doing. Even though our guests ended the night in good spirits and we celebrated the beautiful marriage of the young couple. We are furious with Chef Maurice. We would like to pre-warn anyone that is looking to use his services, please USE SOMEONE ELSE. He is an unreliable, crooked, thief. Who is unable to deliver what he promises his clients. The embarrassment and shame he caused our family is unacceptable and we are sharing our story to help anyone else in the future. Chef Maurice should not be trusted, and should be ashamed of himself.
