TAXI MUSIC IS A SCAM!
I am writing this report to plead with vulnerable songwriters to NOT sign up with them. I had a total of $580 taken from me by Taxi. Taxi will charge you an upfront fee of $300 and tell you that you can come to a bogus music seminar in L.A. for free that would usually cost $300. This makes you feel as though $300 is a great deal. It's not. ONCE you go to the music seminar you will be very UPSET as I was. Most of the "music industry" people they have there are not music industry people - - they are Taxi employees who pretend they're working in the industry. TOTAL SCAM.
A key point to understand about TAXI is they will ask you to pay $10 if you want to submit a song to one of their so-called projects. BUT, these projects are all LIES - - they make them up. I had a few songs that were chosen as great songs to "forward" to their projects - - but they will NEVER tell you for what projects. One time I called up and the receptionist and asked where my song was accepted to and she said - - we can't tell you what company your song has been forwarded to because we don't want MEMBERS to call up and bother the company. It's all bullsh*t. If I wanted to make $100,000 a year instantly, all you have to do is a make a SCAM company like TAXI saying that you have 20 music projects a week and ask naive songwriters to send their money and songs.
PLEASE, PLEASE do yourself a favor and instead of giving TAXI your honest $300 - - just write great songs and try to connect with people thru ASCAP, BMI and "REAL" publishing companies. ANY TYPE OF MUSIC COMPANY THAT ASKS FOR YOUR MONEY is a SCAM!
OTHER TAXI VICTIMS - - -PLEASE WRITE YOUR STORIES ABOUT BEING SCAMMED TO HELP OTHERS!
