Ted Wien's Firestone Ted Wiens, Ted Wiens Firestone, Ted Wiens Las Vegas, Ted Wien's Las Vegas Bad Mechanic Started My Car on Fire Twice Las Vegas Nevada

CONSUMER WARNING! Ted Wien's Firestone is the worst place anybody can take their car. After several bad experiences here I just assumed it was my bad luck. That simply is not the case. Do not go here, my research on this company has revealed to me that they have been caught loosening bolts on oil pans and sabotaging cars in the past.

I brought the car in for a simple part replacement that took them 1 hour, and on the way home, my car started on FIRE. I found what appeared to be a red mechanics cloth on fire, burning underneath the vehicle after it fell to the ground. (I had a little puddle of fire on the asphalt, it was a burning cloth.) After putting out the blaze at the Firestone Corporate store because it happened to be the closest place to pull over... I had to have it towed to them, where I assume they removed any sign of foul play. Firestone REFUSED to lift the car to tell me if there was anything wrong because they didn't want to be liable, so I was unable to get up in there and see.

They claim the fire was because of excessive oil buildup and the told me I needed a steam clean when I brought it in to find out why that part had fouled, but never made mention that there was so much oil it was a risk to drive or let alone check my oil to make sure that there was even oil in the car.

They have been telling me in the past to steam clean the engine because of an oil leak, pretty much every time I go there and they do. But now all of a sudden, they lost years of service history because somebody put my new car into the system and it somehow deleted the old one. So now, they cant see that they just recently Steam Cleaned it... I remember it was them because the get this. THE LAST TIME THEY STEAM CLEANED MY ENGINE THE CAR STARTED ON FIRE. They got water in the engine and whatever the hell happened caused a fire. Ted Wiens has started my car on fire TWICE.

The GM called me and told me "My computers don't make decisions, so not sure how that could have happened." Can anyone think of a more improper explanation when a customer swears that he has years of reciepts from using his store, and says "somehow the computer over-wrote the car history, but I do have printed receipts"?

They also tried to charge me $360 for a part that I found online for $10.99. This was so funny to me... I think that when I called to tell them how badly they were trying to rip me off and that I would be bringing in my own part, they took it personally and SABOTAGED MY VEHICLE. I COULD HAVE BEEN BADLY BURNT OR KILLED.

I have been suspicious of foul play from Ted Wiens for quite some time but like I said, I thought it was my bad luck.

I'm sorry but anyone who brings their car to this place and disregards the countless warnings, ripoffreport.com reports, and what not, totally deserves to go through whatever pain and suffering they will put you through, I'm sorry.

1 star doesn't cut it for how much this place will jerk you around. I have never had a company make me feel like I live in some crazy country... but this is America and businesses like this must be stopped.
