I purchased a Lexus SC 430 from Texasautodirect who make tons of promises and do not live up to them!

They are very slick at their sales etc. I followed every instruction they gave which involved buying an inspection, paying for their transportation, wired them cash. If I did all of the above they gave me me a three day window to make sure the vehicle was okay. Plus they sent me a report on the title that showed it was clean. Snice seeing the vehicle I decided to pull my own Carfax and I found one accident that was not on their report.

The vehicle arrived in the dark and was plastered in mud from being transported from Texas to California. I immediately took the vehicle to a car wash and it did not come anywhere near clean that's how dirty the car was. It took several washes to reveal everything properly. By which time I had a bad tire with only 30 to 35 percent tread and the inspection report stated all tires had there 85 percent tread. [continued below]....

..... I then discovered all four tires are different brands.

Once I got the car cleaned I discovered that there was something wrong with the paint colour on my drivers door panel so I dropped in randomly to a body shop and the news was worse than I expected. They recommend I return the car however they did write a quote at my request for work needed as every panel on the car has a different paint colour so the bill is over 9 thousand. I sent all of this over to Texasdirectauto along with photos which all of this took hours and I am not in my home town aaway am supposed t be on vacation! i have been assigned a lady called Kathy Mizzen in customer relations. Her comments are we cannot see anything wrong with the car from the photos and that's because its very difficult to photograph the vehicle with reflections etc. They are basically accusing me of being dishonest when its the other way around. I've had numerous conversations and emails this past week with no resolution as they want me to pay 1 thousand in transportation or drive the vehicle to Texas with a broken back! Also she requested I get another quote for body repairs which I did and this time I chose a Lexus dealership with a body shop on their premises. The inspection got worse and the estimater is concerned about how safe the vehicle is as none of the panels line up and the trunk lid does not stay up. The hood overhangs the gril and looking in the engine department there are quite a few parts bent. That quote came out around 9k just for paint work no structural work has been estimated so far. This company and I are at stale mate at this point in time as I do not think I should have to pay to return the vehicle when their procesa is a lie. I cannot reach the inspector as I think he works for themalthoughnthey claim he is independent. The car is the colour I want sapphire blue with cream leather interior. I do not want the car in any other colour. I have threateate to sue them and go to every media possible as I do have a case.

I have read that many other people have had similar experiences and because they ship worldwide through E Bay it makes it difficult for people to do anything.

It is my opinion that this company needs to be stopped from ripping people off. I would like to start a class action lawsuit as it would not be difficult to find other disatisfied customers.

Any help or advice is appreciated!

Investigate the inspector

AUTHOR: coast - ()

"they sent me a report on the title that showed it was clean"

A clean title means there are no liens against the vehicle. In some states it may also indicate the vehicle has not been involved in a major accident. It does not indicate the cleanliness of the vehicle.

"Texasautodirect who make tons of promises and do not live up to them"

Your report did not include any of those promises. Your independent inspector made the claim of 85% tire tread. If you hired the inspector that was recommended by the dealer then that foolish decision is your fault.

"I then discovered all four tires are different brands."

Your independent inspector should have included that in the inspection report.

"none of the panels line up and the trunk lid does not stay up"

Your independent inspector should have included that in the inspection report.

"they want me to pay 1 thousand in transportation or drive the vehicle to Texas"

What are the written terms concerning return of the vehicle?

"I cannot reach the inspector as I think he works for them... I have threateate to sue them"

If the inspector is employed by the dealer and you have a written document or other substantial proof that the inspector claims to be independent, then you may be able to prove fraud. Without that it is doubtful that you have grounds for a lawsuit.

threateate is not a word
