I was shopping on line for a well reviewed, quality auto GPS and found the Camera whiz web site selling the unit at the lowest price that I had seen. I decided to order the unit and a dashboard "bean bag" to secure the GPS.
After filling in the required credit card information and placing the order, I noticed that the confirmation to my email address stated that I should call the store at their toll free number to personally confirm the order in order for it to be shipped.

Before I could make the call, I was contacted by the store and told that it was important for me to also buy a memory card because my GPS had a slot for it and if there was a map upgrade or change, I would need one.If I had no card, I would have to ship my GPS to the manufacturer each time and pay the postage. After I refused to buy a card after several sales attempts, the price of the memory card dropped significantly and I was also offered a free GPS case. When I said OK to the sale, the prodding stopped, a quick new total price was stated and that was it.

Surprisingly even though I paid for the least expensive shipping method and was told it would take about a week, I received the order the next day. The items were as described and in new sealed condition. Strangly the prices for each item on the invoice were blank and there was only a total price as well as a total for the credit card customer copy.

The same day I surfed the net and found "GPS Review.net". In their write up they state that "the overwhelming majority of GPS users will never need an SD card because most GPS devices (even the most basic) have at least 50 -100 MB of free space left in the internal memory". Nothing was stated that GPS updates would be done through memory cards.
