Ok I worked for TMS (The Mobile Solution) for about a year. I thought when I got the job that I was working for a well rounded company. Man was I ever so wrong. I have seen some of the most scandelous work ever performed at this company. Everything from activating 10 lines on a customers account without there consent to stealing customers idenity. Ive seen it all. The worst part about it was upper management knew about it and tried to cover it up. Rich Swise the market director of the chicago market has to be the biggest sheister i have ever meet. This guy would rip off his own mother.

After I worked in Ford City Mall for three months I was offered to go out to Michigan and help out that market. Well when I went out there I found that they had ripped off the attorney general of the state of michigan. While out there the complete upper management walked out on the company. Everyone from the market director, reginals, and trainers. They are still fighting this case in court to this day. All I got to say is dont work for or dont buy phones from this company otherwise you will sorry.

#11 UPDATE EX-employee responds

I heard some rumors about something unrelated, decided to google TMS and stumble across this post 4 years later and am very very upset.

I was one of that upper management team that "walked out" during this particular transition for the Michigan market. I also personally know (well knew that was a long time ago) all parties involved. I just want to set the record straight about a few things.

First- Any idiot can make it in a high volume environment. However a great sales rep can make it anywhere. There is a huge difference between trying to sell to all 10 thousand people that walk by you on any given weekend in a Chicago Mall and trying to sell to the 6 people that walk by you all week in Meridian Mall in Okemos, MI. Do the math you babbling retard.

Second- You can make a lot of money at these kinds of jobs, however you have to work. If you don't put in the time then you won't make the money and you won't be promoted. Period! Its cold sales and that's hard work. Yeah there were big promises made to each and every employee when they were hired in about the money and the opportunity. I know because I was the one who stood up there and fed you that BS for a few days before I sent you out in the field for two and then you all came back crying about how hard it is. But I know I never said it was easy. TMS and companies alike are not easy money! Its good money there is a major difference.

Third- The upper management team DID NOT walk out on Rich Sweis. Griffin and Jackson maybe. But I will stand by my ex-colleague and old friend and say that he was not a bad coach or business man, he did nothing that was deserving of any of these comments. Rich came to the Michigan Market to help it, while still running the N-Chi Market as well and he did just that. He put together a great management team who brought in a lot of good reps. Michigan was starting to come back. Once MI was up and running again he left to go back to Chicago, unfortunately Rick Griffin the person who was promoted into that Market Director position, by Pat Jackson, happened to have some on Jackson less than stellar qualities that were mentioned in previous posts and what was ultimately the demise of TMS in MI. However not everything you hear is true, majority of the wireless industry then, before that and even now is made up of children and gossip queens that have no clue what they are actually talking about or what they are actually doing. I have been in this industry for close to 11 years now (also known as the beginning of time) however I am only 26. The average age of a wireless industry employee is 19. Yes I said 19. So its a lot like high school but with big commissions and a sense of superiority. These kids would stand in kiosks sometime for 10 hours a day, there was nothing better to do other than to talk and pretend like you know things that you don't. And that's exactly what they did. But it does not necessarily make everything they say true. Not everything posted about TMS is true, not everything posted about Rich is true and not even everything that was posted about Pat and Rick is entirely true, although as I previously stated the two did have less than stellar qualities.

I hope this sheds a little bit of light on the real happenings of downfall of The Mobile Solution in Michigan and also a bit of a character reference. Just because you think you know something does not make it true nor does it justify defamation of character. Being a person who happily works in the corporate side of this industry for years while holding an astounding personal sales and customer satisfaction record and also a law student not only have you made people more ill-informed about an industry that is not easily understood but you are lucky you weren't sued.

EX -EMPLOYEE VERIFICATION

AUTHOR: M - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Thursday, August 18, 2005

Where do I begin with the Mobile Problem, I mean Solution. Rick Griffin(Market Director switches daily), Pat Jackson(National Director), and Rich Sweis (Chicago Market Director) these 3 men are BIG WIGS in the company. Funny thing is corporate America gives too much power and freedom to undeserving individuals. Pat would on regular occurance fund cocaine and marijuana purchases through a corporate credit card scheme.

These men are all sorry excuses for Hard Working Americans and should be ashamed of themselves and in fact resign and take . reponsibility for the wrongs done. FRAUD is their middle name they will add lines onto a customer's account weeks after they initally bought phones in an attempt to meet quota and hit numbers. YOU 3 are REJECTS and in the end charma will get you for everything you have done and eventully T Mobile Cingular will smarten up and drop your punk asses and put you out of business perminantly.

POSTED: Tuesday, February 08, 2005

Ok first of all I did not post anything on this website. Yes I have told my TMS story to alot of people and it looks like some one took it upon themselves to go ahead and tell it. Tho who ever did post this is an idiot and dosent know what there talkin about.

For the record Rich I was not terminated from TMS I walked out on you. Let me refresh your memory; remember when Rudy and yourself practicaly begged Bob and my self to stay with the company that one morning at Joliet Mall in the food court. Yeah you tried to send me to ford city and I turned it down.

Also you say I was late to work every day but my ride out to work everyday was your manager for the store. And for some reason he was never late but funny how I was.

No I dont work for Verizon any more because I got an opertunity with a better company that knows how to treat there employees and keep promises. Something you would know nothing about.

Funny how more than half of the top salesman and regionals that use to work for you now work with me or another company. I wonder why?

Oh and maybe you didnt hear the update but I am a manager in traing now only after 3 months of working for the company and on the top 25 every month. Not bad for being sub par.

Next time dont assume find out for a fact and dont call one person and not the other to ask about the siuation. I have nothing bitter to say about TMS or its employees.

BELIEVE ALL THAT YOU HEAR ABOUT RICH SWISE

AUTHOR: Mom - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Tuesday, February 08, 2005

If im not mistaken isnt Rich Swise the short bald head going arab guy with the goffey look on his face all the time. I remember working with this guy before he became big time with mobile solutions. And we all know how he got to where he is now dont we all.

But we will stay off that subject for now. From what I hear through the grape vine Rich couldnt handle the Chicago market and had to get some help from a demoted national.

So now I beleive he now runs the north side (where he belongs). I love knowing people in upper management there because they give the inside tip on everything and no matter how much mobile solutions try to cover up there mishaps and talk down on ex employees because they speak the truth they will never be as big as they want to be beacause of people like Rich Swise behind the desk!

Don't believe everything you read

AUTHOR: R - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Monday, February 07, 2005

The Internet has many great things to offer, but one drawback is it gives people an opportunity to use their voice in a reckless fashion.

I am responding to the posted comments by John O'Rourke about TMS. John went to help out the Michigan market for a few months and went back home to Chicago. His production was sub par and he was given every opportunity to advance with TMS possible. John saw one of his friends advance that joined him in TMS and was bitter about this. This individual could not get to work on time, let alone be successful in selling phones. He eventually was terminated from TMS and he pursued and opportunity with another wireless company that he thought he would do better with. Guess what? He no longer works for the 2nd company either, but is now working for his 3rd wireless company in less than 1 1/2 years.

There was never any incidence of fraud or covering up of such fraud as he refers to. The Chicago market has an impeccable record for a high standard of ethics and great customer service.

So, let us speak on matters of truth not opinion. TMS is 385 locations strong and has countless sales people who have moved up into high-level positions within the organization. The individual who posted the report is now a sales associate for a local competitor. How reputable is this person?

Why does a company our size have a large number of repeat business? IT IS BECAUSE WE HAVE GREAT DEALS AND OFFER A GREAT EXPERIENCE TO OUR CUSTOMERS.

Can't make everybody happy !!!!

AUTHOR: Gina - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Monday, January 31, 2005

I have worked for TMS for over three years and being a large corporation, there will be times you will run into less than ethical employees working for you, but our company has immediately addressed those issues and have weeded out those employees. I have thoroughly enjoyed my 3 years of employment at TMS. There has been no other company that has offered me the opportunity and advancement to travel and gain the experience I need to become as successful as I have. No other wireless company has a new hire development program or leadership development program that we offer. Any former employees that have left on negative terms did not possess the drive, dedication, and determination to succeed. I am 23 year old female and earned my first six figure salary at the age of 21. What person do you know without a college degree at the same age who can say the same? They have given me the skills that I need to not only succeed within TMS but be extremely marketable and be successful with any company. It has been challenging and I have sacrificed a lot at a young age, but it has been the most rewarding experience. I have always felt comfortable having a voice within the company; anything that I have not agreed with I have made my voice known and I am sad to see that you didn't take the appropriate action and ended up with a negative outcome. So, I apoligize on behalf of TMS for the furstration and aggravation that you may have encounterd because of a few bad apples. If these claims were true then we would not be able to expand and have the support of two of the largest wirless companies, as well as, some of the largest property management companies. Not everyone has had a negative experience with this company. With that said, as a customer, I would not allow this complaint to affect future purchases of wireless equipment because we do offer the best deals in the wireless industry. For those looking for employment, this has been Mecca for professional development for young people. - A Happy TMS Vet

I am a manager in arizona and have worked for the company for almost 2 years, and yeah we have had some bad people that thought the could get away with whatever they wanted. But we are not all like that. It just sounds like you are a little sour about TMS. Amy
