the move pros this company is a ripoff!! ocala Florida

i hired this company to move me and my wife based on a recommendation from my drywaller.  when i contacted the company he offered to move my by the hour stating it would save me money.  i paid josh a one hour down payment by check and he scheduled my move for 4/19/13. 

when his two movers he hired arrived i knew from the first 15 minutes we were going to have a problem.  they moved as slow as mollassses and i was being charged by the hour!  they constantly went back and forth to the truck empty handed.  they were talking on the phone and having conversations together.  the owner, josh, showed up about an hour into the move and when i voiced my displeasure he said he would talk to his guys.  if anything they slowed down even more and giggled amonst each other while they went about their business.  anyway it took much longer than it should have to empty my home and get on the road to my new home. over 3.5 hours for what ahould have taken all of 2 hours if they hustled!  

i had to leave early and head to my new home as i had workmen coming.  during my ride there i contacted josh to voice my displeasure.  he said he would take off a half hour of his fee and i said fine.  when his guys arrived at my home they drove in and when they got out of the truck i told them where to start and they told me i had to pay cash prior to moving any item off the truck per josh.  josh had never told me i had to pay him cash!  when i told them i did not have that kind of cash on me they proceed to back truck out of the driveway.  i immediately went into the house to contact josh.  when they backed out they ran over a water main for my irrigation system and destroyed it.  water immediately filled my driveway and front yard.  i told his movers this and they both smiled and said not our problem!  i contacted josh about requiring cash and he told me he informed me i had to pay cash when i called him from my car on my way to my new property which he did not do.  he said he required cash, period.  i had to stay at my home as i had workmen there.  my family proceeded to the bank to get cash. josh then proceeded to tell me his company was still charging me for the period of time it took to receive the cash!  i argued with him and he backed off on that.

i then called him about the water main damage.  when i finally got josh on the phone he said his guys told him i guided them out of the driveway and that is why they hit the water main!  i was not even outside when it happened.  the workmen were and one of them completed an affidavit for me on what he saw.  

i asked josh for his insurance information.  he refused to give it to me!  he said he would come fix it for me on monday even tho this happened on a friday.  in the meantime i had no water!  he said to call a plumber and send him the bill.  the cost of the repair was $290.  he gave me his email and i sent him a copy of the bill.  never heard from him again!  he rented a penske truck to do the move so i put a claim in with that company.  still have not heard about a settlement as of this day 5/12/13.

this guy is the biggest crook i have ever come across!  he lies, he cheats, and he overcharges for his services!  NEVER do business with this company!
