Do a lot of research before getting involved with this company!! You will probably find them to be very charismatic sales people, but, this is not a company for people serious about their career. It is very similar to multi level marketing. The shady/deceptive part is that nobody realizes this until they've been there a while.

Research on Ripoff Report: Cydcor (the parent company) Red Phoenix International in NJ, The Ad Group in West Los Angeles, LA marketing Firm in Burbank, CA, etc. (there are dozens of offices across the country all networked together but they may not admit it because most have bad reputations)

They recruit young people to go door to door selling stuff. When a sales rep makes a sale, a cut goes to the manager and a cut goes to their manager (and so on up) and a cut goes to cydcor. No one really makes money until they have 20 other people "under them" making no money. It often takes years. The turn over is so high that they never stop hiring. They tend to interview 30+ people a day in hopes of getting as many naive people to buy into them. Why do you think they target college grads for such a "great opportunity"? Basically, the more the managers recruit, the more money they make. So, its in their best interest to say what they have to say to keep people around.

Proceed with caution!

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- These two morons run a scam- AKA "The Phoenix Group". They post the same crap ads on Careerbuilder too. They're obviously desperate losers that have to spam CL to get new suckers to work the phones.

FLAG THEIR ADS EVERY TIME!

The Top Ten signs you are involved with Cydcor, DS-Max, Granton, Innovage, The Smart Circle

AUTHOR: Pyramid God - (USA)

POSTED: Thursday, December 03, 2009

Top ten signs you are involved with Cydcor, Granton Marketing, Innovage, or The Smart Circle:

#10: You've been employed by your company for four months . . . and the company has changed it's name three times

# 9: You tell relatives and new acquaintances you are working on an 'advertising campaign' . . . but you really sell stuff door-to-door

# 8: You produce over $200 worth of sales . . . but only get about $70 of that for yourself because the pyramid gods yank the rest before it gets to your check.

# 7: Your 'management training' involves buying lunch for interviews that you'll never see again out of your own pocket . . . and you're not actually a manager, or doing any management training.

# 6: You look down on '9 to 5 schmucks' . . . who have secretaries that make more than you and your boss combined.

# 5: You espouse the principles & theories of the most successful people on Earth . . . who would be absolutely repulsed by the business you're in.

# 4: You work 75 hours a week . . . but still quietly bum money from your 16 year-old neighbor that works at McDonalds

# 3: You eat fast food more than 10 times / week . . . or cant afford to eat

# 2: You live in a one-bedroom apartment with 10 other co-workers . . . and your boss is one of them.

 . . . and the number one sign you are involved with Cydcor, Granton, Innovage, The Smart Circle . . .

# 1: You work for a company that has in just 26 years employed 3 million people . . . and only the original employees are able to support themselves with money they make there.

If they mislead you to get you in the door, they will mislead you once you're in

AUTHOR: - (USA)

POSTED: Tuesday, November 10, 2009

This company puts job Ads on craigslist almost daily that say it pays 30-40k. They are aware that it's against craigslist policy to post a %100 commission job without stating so in the description but they do it anyways to get more people in the door. They also state they are looking for 10 candidates when they'd hire 15 in a second if that many decent people wanted to work with them.

The Ad says . . .

We are looking to cross train 10 candidates, with or without experience, in the following areas:

* Entry Level Marketing
* Customer Service
* Public Relations
* Human Resources
* Campaign Management

  • Location: Fairfield
  • Compensation: 30-40k
  • Principals only. Recruiters, please don't contact this job poster.
  • Phone calls about this job are ok.
  • Please do not contact job poster about other services, products or commercial interests.

Bottoam line . . . if they will flat out mislead you to get you in the door . . . they aren't going to become transparent once you are in.
