The Results Group scammed me back in October of 2005 when I was first contacted by Richard May who told me I could start my own internet business for $199 that would cover setting up the webpage for me and business expense. I was then contacted by Sean Ernst who told me my webpage would not make any money if I did not add sound to it for an additional $298.

I was to write free ads for three companies, but they only had two available at the time. I would get the third company within a month or so. I was told I would make $400 a week by doing this, but if I wanted to make more money, I could purchase individual ads ranging from $1-$10.

After paying $497 for these services, I was contacted by my advertising consultant, Nikki Kriems, who told me the only way to make money was to purchase their ad packages, where they would send out 38,000 ads to people who specifically requested information about my types of companies. The lowest package for 38,000 contacts was $4900 and they would match this amount. I was guaranteed to receive $2000/wk if I did this, and up to $5000/wk if I continued to write and post my own free ads. (She assured me that I had been mistaken when I understood Sean Earnst to say that ads could be bought for $1-$10, because he had meant that this package deal averaged out to that.)

I was qullible, what can I say? I had just been forced to quit my job because of migraines and the doctor said I should find something that I could work from home. I also had to pay $19/mth for four months and I'm still not sure what that was for, but at the three month mark, I had only made $19.93 total and that was from a sell to my husband.

I left numerous messages for Nikki or her supervisor to contact me and they never did. When I threatened contacting the BBB, I got a call from her that day and she stated that this had never happened to anyone before. I told her I wanted my money back and she informed me they did not work that way, but that they would beef up my advertising. She even offered me two new companies that were doing "fantastic" in their sells. I told her that they had committed fraud and as soon as I hung up I filed a complaint with the BBB online against the company.

If you will look the company up with the BBB, you will see that there are many complaints. The BBB contact me a month later and stated that TRG had not responded to the complaint and there was nothing else they could do. Lucky for me, I have a neighbor who owns his own company and told me that I would get much further if I contacted my Attorney General for my state and filed a complaint there. He was correct.

As of 5/3/06, I have been refunded my initial $497 along with my $4900, all thanks to Lisa Madigan's office, my Attorney General. I personally feel that I owe her my life! I never dreamed I would get a full refund (except for the four $19 payments, but I forgot to mention those in the complaint I filed).

I suggest to everyone.... contact your Attorney General. You can look up the information on the internet. The form I filled out was on the internet and I just printed it after completing it and mailed it in. My Attorney General's webpage had a specific link for those consumers who had a complaint. If it had not been for my neighbor, I never would have know that you could contact your local Attorney General about a business in another state.
