I bought a laptop battery Jan 8 2010 with a 3 year no hassle warranty. Battery failed to charge after pulling laptop out of 1 year in storage about 3 days ago, I contacted seller about the defect and was advised battery was not defective. and accused me of using it all along, Return policy was modifed about 6 months later and my warranty now was not covered. The warranty was in affect when I bought it. Here is the email from Seller to me, and me to Seller. You will see why got mad:

Dear ebarlitt,

I am sorry to hear that. The battery we sold you is not defective, and the proof is that you have been using it all along. At the same time, please understand that the battery is fuel, and once the fuel runs out, it of course will no longer power your laptop. Our warranty does not cover wear and tear, it only covers physical defects such as the battery cracking, or the casing opening up and the such.

I do realize that you are now out of a battery and as a courtesy to you, I can offer you a 20% rebate on a new unit.

This email from Seller is the one and only response, I have tried at least 7 times to contact Seller but no response. Note: The battery hads 8 cells inside the battery and 3 were found to be bad. OK Thats it. ebarlitt
