I ordered the Carol Burnett 11 Season, 8 DVD Collection on November 14th, 2007 for $69.99. Weeks went by and I e-mailed the company and asked if I'd receive my shipment by Christmas. They sent back an e-mail saying that it had been sent to the wrong address and they'd send another one. On December 15th, 2007, I finally received it!

I immediately ran to my TV for some relaxing and hilarious viewing. Well, the first DVD I viewed skipped. I put in another one and it skipped, too. Carol Burnett would be coming out at the beginning of the show in one color dress and then it would suddenly skip to another color. The picture was also very blurry.

I tested each one. It was obvious that these were made off of someone's television. Also, the packaging consisted of a "jacket" obviously made on a printer, no licensing by CBS or anyone else, just a plain red background with Carol Burnett, Tim Conway and, I believe, Harvey Korman.

I e-mailed the company to let them know that I'd be returning the DVDs because they "skipped". I sent them back by registered mail (the absolute most secure) on Monday, December 18th, 2007. (Oh, and that "wrong" address that they had been sent to originally was some guy in New York named John. His shipping label was glued underneath mine.)

Weeks went by again. I hadn't received my refund or pink return receipt. Every time I'd check the tracking number on USPS.com, it showed that my package was received in customs. Well, that's as far as it got.

I e-mailed DVD Planet again and they said to ask my credit card company for a "charge back". I did. They can't. I did file a dispute, though.

So now I'm in the process of filing a complaint for mail fraud with the postal service. Can they do anything? I hope so.

Please, all others who have been ripped off by this company, file a dispute with your credit card company and then, please, file a mail fraud complaint with the U.S. Postal Service. Ask your local post office for the phone number of the Postal Inspection Service.

This company first had a message on its homepage that said their supplier had "closed its doors."
Then, in an e-mail sent to me on January 9th, 2008, they said that the bank they were using to process their credit card orders went out of business just before Christmas!
What's the REAL story? Maybe they finally got caught selling unlicensed products?

REPORT THESE GUYS TO ASCAP and WATCH THE FUN!

AUTHOR: Joe - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Saturday, April 05, 2008

These guys are in violation of the International Treaty of Copyrights but don't tell them that.

AND IT DOESN'T MATTER WHETHER YOU ARE IN CANADA OR NOT!

Make sure that you give their contact information to ASCAP which STANDS FOR
The American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers and you can contact the Writers Guild but you will have more fun contacting ASCAP.They LIVE to hunt down people who sell bootleg copies of anything! They have already shut down several discotechas that were selling bootlegged concerts, films and recordings to our Hispanic immigrants.

Google ASCAP and then go to their web site, click on "CONTACT US" and tell them what you know about the crooks' DVD bootlegging operation. Try to be there when the place gets raided. I saw a raid once it ws a lot of fun!

HOW TO GET BACK AT THEDVDPLANET.ORG

AUTHOR: Melissa1429 - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Saturday, April 05, 2008

Like many of you my issue with this company was just the same. Months ago I suffered every email, excuse and otherwise that all of you have reported as well. I notified my credit card company when I wasn't recieving my product and they gave me a charge back. I wasn't really satisfied with that so I wanted to do damage. I was infuriated with each report I read on this site so I decided to get revenge.

Ultimately, I did recieve my order months after everything subsided. When I found it to be bootleg I lost my mind. I was contacting every media source I could with this story. Unfortunately, there were no takers. So what I did do was contact copyright themselves. Go to www.copynot.com and report your bootleg issue with them. After a report to them I was so shocked (sarcasim) to find out that the website closed down. I sent Paul Jacobs and Jeff Jacobs an email telling them what I did and of course they pretended not to know me. While another email told me that I shouldn't concern myself with them because they have so many other sites that it would take forever to track them down. Isn't that smug of them??

Just be wary of who you order from in the future ... I know I will! But I emplore you to report your bootleg copies to copynot. Maybe they will someday find them!
