Time Warner Cable processing check multiple times= overdrawn account. then charging for their mistake. Not honoring promise of refund or fixing the problem. cincinnati, Ohio

My grandmother is 74yrs old and has used TWC all her life for television services. however since june we have had a major problem. TWC processed a check of hers, which was returned, once notified of this I got online and paid the full amount via debit card. After they was paid in full they then continued to process the exact same check 3 more times overdrawing her account even further each time it was processed. I delt with TWC for 3months straight trying to get it straightened out. Each time i spole with a supervisor and discussed the situation and each time they promised my grandma a full refund or credit to her services because they was paid and kept processing the check. finally in August when she revieved her bill, her account was credited for that entire months services so she owed $0 for the month of august because of their mistake.

Then low and behold at the end of september my grandma recieved her bill. Of course her charges for that month was on there but then she had an "adjustment charge" for the entire amount that they credited her account and labeled it as being for a returned check back in June and included a charge for the returned check. So she paid them the full amount once she found out about the check, then she was charged for that check in full, meaning that she paid for that month twice. I have all of the evidence for this, including her refund refference number that they then took back when they charged her for the check in September. Once this was discovered i called them again. And again was told it would be taken off the bill and was a mistake and to expect a call back within 48hrs. But when they called back they then said that it was not a mistake and was owed. This company is a crock and had my grandmas account upside down. They had no remorse and then charged her a second for the same thing. I switched my services to satelite because of this. However my grandma has never had any other service and has had the same phone number through them and cable for 20+ years so of course she is hesitant to switch. She still thinks they will get it right and not make her pay twice. but that was in September and there has been nothing for my grandma in form of retribution. I will never get a single service through TWC ever again for what they did to my gma and how they treated her.
