We bought Pedi-Paws online.
It is a good product, HOWEVER, beware the refund check that they send you in the mail as a rebate. It is a check and enrollment authorization for TRILEGIANT (aka TLG) to take funds from your account for membership purposes. If you cash this check, you won't even know you are enrolling unless you read the itty bitty fine print somewhere on the back, if it is even there. It is ONLY an offer. It is NOT a rebate check. BEWARE!

I hate to admit that LifeLock is looking like my next choice of services to enroll into, so this doesn't happen to me again. Here is something to consider:
They already have your credit card information. If you DO cash this check, you are automatically enrolled in the Trilegiant TLG Buyers Advantage. You won't know this until several months later, that you see a charge come through (untimely of course) on your monthly billing statement. In this case it was our debit card for $139.00. OUCH!!

If you used your credit card and bought Pedi Paws, watch that you DO NOT cash their rebate check you receive. The same will be expected of your monthly credit card statement, so if you did use a credit card, you had better double check it online or call your service dept to be sure you didn't get stung.

This type of marketing is SLY and UNDERHANDED, in my opinion. After several attempts, I managed to contact (TLG) Trilegiant's customer service dept 1-800-553-4948 and they assured me that I would see this refunded in 48 hours. I got my cancellation code after they transferred me. After 48 hours, the state attorney general is next! We shall see.

A SUGGESTION TO ALL:
Just wait on these 'deals' you see on TV or online. They will eventually show up at Walmart, K-Mart, or Target. Just BUY them there. Online is getting to a serious hassle and a big RIP-OFF. So, here I am posting this report.

Paid Back!

AUTHOR: Sumerian - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Friday, March 27, 2009

Ok folks, it ISN'T impossible to get your money back. Here is the scoop...After sending an email, phone calls to TLG, and posting to this blog, I
got my money back.

From what I was told, apparently I signed their rebate check. So, I have requested a copy of that to be sent to me, just to make sure of the
signature. ( I cannot imagine signing this thing and doing this ).

Lesson learned?.... Don't order Pedi Paws online. Buy it at the local store. Better yet, BUY THE ORIGINAL! Peti-Cure was the original.
DO NOT ACCEPT ANY REBATES! THERE IS A CATCH! Always a catch.

Once I get the copy of the check back, I will determine if it was my signature or if it was a forgery.

Ok. Here is the update....
I posted another report, which is related to this one.
We just received the so called rebate check for $8.25, which we NEVER
had in the first place. We never could have signed and cashed this
check, which would have authroized Trilegiant to debit our account for
this service. Hello Attorney General?! Are you reading this?
THIS IS FRAUD! How much more can we say this? FRAUD!

We so far have not received our reverse debit for the amount of $139.99
back to our account. I still think the attorney general needs to be aware that this is happening. I'm sure this has happened to thousands of others
like us. Pedi Paws is trying to copy Peti-Cure, which was the original
product that came along before Pedi Paws. STAY AWAY FROM PEDI PAWS.

Pedi Paws and Trilegiant Corporation needs to be put on notice!
