TOLL ROADS OF OC Toll Roads 241 Express lanes DRIVERS BE WARE TOLL ROADS A FRAUD Irvine California

Drivers be ware. Toll roads of OC otherwise known as the 241/133 express ways are double dipping and charging drivers for tolls that are already paid through the transponder.  I have had my vehicle registered with the toll roads since July of 2013. I work in South orange county and live in Riverside so I communte through the 241 express way every day.  I recently went on the 91 express lanes and received a toll violation from them. I did not know they were 2 separate entities so when I called the 91 lanes they advised me that all they needed was the toll roads to send them a letter and the toll for them would be paid.  I did just that, low and behold I called the toll roads in October when I received the 91 express lane violation notice and have been dealing with the problem since then.  It is now January 11th and I still have not been able to resolve this issue.  Here is a brief description of what I have been going through. 

I called the toll roads to see about the 91 express violation notice in October. I spoke to Amber who said they would take care of it right away.  I received a 2nd notice from the 91 experss lanes stating the problem was not fixed so I again called the toll roads and spoke to another rep who refused to give me her name but assured me all was taken care of and to give it a couple of weeks.  I called a few wakes later now at the end of october early november only to learn that the problem had not been fixed and that my vehicle had over 200 toll vioaltions with the toll roads...Toll violations?  My vehicle has a transponder and I had added it to the account back in 2013.  When I asked for a run down they sent me a list of all the violations which I then compared to my statements.  I found over 60 DOUBLE CHARGES and over 100 charges that were not clear. Example... my statement paid for toll on lane 11 at 8:50 am on 9-23....their TOLL VIOLATION SHEET stated I owed a toll for lane 12 at 8:50 am on 9-23.... same time different lane.  When I questioned this she said "it is what it is" and refused to give me credit even when I provided proof.  There are also Dates missing from my statment that appear on their toll violation sheet, and the golden question... When asked why I had not received a notice in 2 YEARS yes, thats right 2 YEARS is what they claim I have had violations since.... When I asked about why I had not recieved any notice of this and why it had taken so long to figure out the answer was WE SENT THE NOTICES TO THE RENTAL AGENCY WHICH OWNS THE VEHICLE.. What??? I owen the vehicle and have since 2013 (july)...apperantly this vehicle had had violations in the past BEFORE I purchased it and when that first violation appeared after the purchase the TOLL ROADS automatically assumed (WITH OUT bothering to check updated DMV records) that the previos owner stillowed the vehicle.  Keep in mind that they said I had 2 years of violations starting in Feb of 2014 and in 2 years they never sent me any notice.

I have been dealing with this problem for over 4 months and have not been able to get this issue resolved. No calls have been answered since Dec 23rd when I last spoke with them and none of my emails have been answered either.  I know I am not the only one with this issue..TOLL ROAD USERS check your statements!!! I feel there are alot of issues with this agency and not staffed adequately or proffesionally to help consumers, but just to collect charges that are not even correct....
