Travel Union, Mini Vacations, MVI Marketing MVI Marketing our honeymoon dreams were ruined Irving Texas

My wife and I used all of our wedding money ($900.00) to pay for a Cancun getaway for our honeymoon from Travel Union/Minivacations/MVI Marketing. We paid 590.00 the first day to Travel Union (via a personal check over the phone), then sent the required additional $198.00 via personal check to Minivacations. We called to schedule our dates and were told they were not booking that far in advance yet and that we would need to call back as our desired travel time came closer. Then when we called back, we were given confirmation of the dates of our travel and asked to send the hotel taxes (which was another $84.00 personal check) to MVI Marketing.

As our travel dates approached, we called back to check in to make sure that everything was still on schedule, and we were then told that there was damage to our hotel from the hurricane and that they would call us when they had information from the hotel that they were accepting reservations again. Of course we never heard back from them again and so we continued trying to call them and always got either a busy message/call back later/high call volume message. Eventually the number wouldn't even ring anymore; just a constant busy signal, and then finally was disconnected.

This was our dream vacation and we are so heartbroken over our loss because we know we'll never be able to afford another vacation like this again. We are so disappointed that there are companies that are out there operating under false pretenses in an effort to take innocent people's hard earned money.

If there are any class action lawsuits that have been or are being filed against any of these companies, we would like to be involved/included.
