In reading through all the other reports here, I have found similar experiences to mine.

Altho I have not been excessively late, if thier computers don't see a payment by the due date, yep.. the calls start the next day. They use scare tactics that inexperienced folks would not know are illegal, and thier verbal jousting co-erses folks into making hard payments.. it's only threats.

The 3 weeks to process payments comment was met with my response that Providian was sued and found in violation of trade practices by the US government for "Holding" checks that are rec'd on time and then applying late charges. Folks, they can't do that, and don't let them tell you they do.

They also cannot repo without written notice. They cannot call you at work if you have told them not too. I have hung up on them several times and they will be reported.

I recenetly refied my home, and I tossed in a pay off to them, simply because I wanted to take my business from them. They lost a TON of interest, and a good customer due to thier rudeness and inhospitibility.

I have had the same hard times awhile back that you other folks have had. ALL my creditors worked with me and actually helped rather than torment.

I don't understand why these folks are trying to play like Tony Soprano. It loses them customers, and hopefully, with stuff like this on the net, will prevent them from getting new ones.

BTW, I overpaid them monthly too. They were even rude when I called to find out why my next payment was LOWER than it was supposed to be. I wasn't aware that they slip in more interest by lowering your next payment instead of applying the excess to your principle. They got snippy when I called "Pukey" on that, and insisted it go to my principle.

anything for an extra penny.. beware.. Tony Soprano has looser terms than Triad.

There is nothing to Resolve, I am no longer a customer.

Sergio,

Altho I appreciate your reading here and you seem to be interested, it's too little too late and there is nothing to resolve. I resolved the problem by my own actions. I paid off the account, a couple of years early. There is no account to resolve and I have finished my business with Triad. I do not care to do business with Triad in the future. It is sad that one has to go to those extremes to resolve an issue. I would have rather "resolved" the problem through standard means instead of "rid" myself of it.

Triad sent me my title, AND someones ELSES title as well. (Thats a WHOLE other story!) Business Relationship: Over. Niether I, or Triad "won" the battle. We both lost.

Triad lost because my account was relatively short lived, and you didn't collect a lot of interest from me, but you put in all the administrative costs and efforts to provide the loan.

I lost time. Thats my most valuable asset.

Oddly enough, despite the horrible treatment I rec'd when payments were "Late" due to your crediting practices, my Credit bureau reports show my history with you as paid off satisfactorily with no lates reported, even the couple of legitimate ones that I attempted to keep in contact with you with, as one is SUPPOSED to do when there is a legitimate issue.

I no longer care to deal with Triad on an indivdual level. This is one of the side effects of my past treatment. I would however, be interested on reading your explainations for these practices in a public forum. This will give the other report filers an opportunity to read and understand your points.

We understand that is difficult to comment on any individuals experience without having all the details, but since everyones experience here is definately similar in both detail and circumstance, there is no denying that a policy or precident is present at Triad. Perhaps you can make general comments on these.
