I fell for this SCAM when I picked up the food to order it, then realized they never sent e-mail confirmation and later read really bad reviews. So I then called back the number to cancel the order, they said they would process it. What a LIAR. They never processed the order to send it to me, but yet charged my credit card the full amout. Then after I disputed the charge, they then billed me again for internet membership of $19.95 per month after that. I then disputed that, but every month they billed me again and again. I then had to cancel my credit card to get them to stop. Then I kept getting phone calls from ALCHEMY WORLDWIDE,  at 1-818-377-2891, they never left messages but would call twice a day. Finally I answered one day to tell them to stop, but they said I am committed and owe them for the product and the monthly fees. I tried cancelling with them, but they said I have to call the Food Lovers number to do so. When I did, I spoke to a Juan Pena (or thats what he said his name was), he said he could not do anything and the calls will continue as they have a debt to collect with me. I proceeded to tell him I never received the product or even signed up on the website for a monthly membership, but they said its included in the initial order, whether you want it or not. He told me they sent the package regular mail, so he couldn't produce a signature that i received it, but said thier records show it was sent. Really? You send something regular mail and even if you do not get it, you're legally responsible? I told him, I am not paying for anything I never received or signed up for and I told him I would review thier product on every SCAM review site and he replied "I don't care, do what you have to do". I still get calls from thier company to collect a measley $79.95, so instead of issuing a credit, they still badger me. My questions is how can this company still do business with all the complaints and screw over thier customers versus trying to win them over by being nice about it and maybe the customer may return and try thier product. THEY DON"T and here's why, thier product sucks and don't work and they just want your money, a total RIP-OFF, stay clear.

Addressing Our Customer's Concerns

AUTHOR: Food Lovers Rep - ()

POSTED: Thursday, June 27, 2013

Thank you for bringing Mr. Robert P.’s concerns to our attention.  I am familiar with this specific order and will gladly explain what transpired and address his concerns.  He placed an order for our weight loss system at the beginning of November 2012 and it was promptly shipped to the shipping address that was provided via the web.  However, it was not until June 26, 2013, when we called customer, that he reported for the first time that he had allegedly never received the package.  Nearly 8 months later.  Had he contacted us to inform us that he never received the package, as he alleges, in a timely manner we would have gladly provided him with instructions for dealing with this situation.

With respect to customer mentioning that he allegedly did contact us to cancel, I ran a call report from November 1, 2012 through June 27, 2013 using the phone number from which he called us on 6/26/13 and the phone number provided on the order.  Neither number came up prior to 6/26/13.  We have no record of any inbound calls from him prior to 6/26/13.

With respect to the billing for the internet membership, he actually disputed the online service charge (chargeback) with his credit card provider and his own credit card provider found that the charge was valid.  They rejected the dispute (chargeback) and sided with us that the charge was valid.  It is also not correct that the online membership is included in the initial order.  The online membership is a separate service that is offered and is completely optional to accept.

Most importantly however, we absolutely do care about our customers and are so confident in our product that we offer a very generous 9 WEEK Money Back Guarantee.  To prove to Mr. Robert P. that we do care about our customers I will gladly issue a full refund for the internet membership charge.  Our main goal is that our customers achieve their weight loss goals.  We certainly hope the same for Mr. Robert P.  Thank you once again for bringing this matter to our attention and for allowing us to explain our side of the story.
