I don't know how else to put it. After waiting weeks for my machines, I can't find any locations for these monstors! The machines are so large that NO ONE WANTS THEM!! I have tried professional locators, so far they have not been successful. Every single one of their machines are unmanageable! The Eliminator and Terminator have eliminated and terminated my savings!! I couldn't imagine having to deal with the Goliath.

I called the company probably 80 times and my sales rep Gary seems to have disappeared. I have left so many messages - I think all they have anymore is an anwering machine!!

I have friends in the business that have smaller machines and seem to be doing great and are happy. I guess I thought that bigger was better. Not true!! There are about 10 steps to do just to service one canister! THESE MACHINES ARE NOT MANAGEABLE!!! What does the company do to help - nothing!

If you want to spend $ Thousands (I spent over $12,000) for colorful garbage - this is your place.

I wish I had gone somewhere else.

First off about locations it depends what locations.

I actually agree with you in a sense about the doctor, dentist in that way of nutrition but what does that have to do with it.

The uturn machines suck, plain and simple. You can't make the profit margin to pay the business off. There is no get rich. Sure there is. If you vend out .50 from each thats a start.

I know exactly how to place candy machines and been doing it for over a year which takes time. At the end of the year big things are going to happen.

You state the color of yellow attracts. Bullshit. Whatever.

Reasons Uturn Machines are Superior

I had owned three businesses at different times in my life prior to my U-turn vending business. This is the first business in which I made a profit within the first two months!!!!

I currently own 30 machines. Chris was my rep and has always returned my calls and taken care of me. However, I have always been very civil and polite with him, despite any negative or positive feelings I may have had, purely in the hopes that he would always want to return my calls.

I was able to locate all of my machines within 3 weeks. I was discourage when I only made $500 the first month considering that I had been hoping to make $3000. Instead of getting bitter, I got busy and relocated 2/3 of them by putting a majority of them in industrial plant break rooms where people really use vending machines! After 6 months, I have finally brought in over $1000 in one month; that's exciting; I'm a third of my way to $3,000; I do what I can do.

Business is only for the bold ones who are willing to step out of their comfort zone and give it all they've got; there is no easy way to get rich. If you've got guts and you are willing to grow and you are tired of having a boss or future employer control you in any way, then start your own business. If you disagree with the previous sentence, then work for someone else and refrain from blaming Uturn or anyone else for the failures you experienced! Watch the movie, "Working Girl"--"You make it happen!"

1. The Uturn Terminator gives me the choice of a huge maximum vend. Just recently a non-profit school asked me to locate 16,1-header machines. The 1-headers vend 6 peanut M&M's for every $.25 whereas I can set my Uturn Terminator to vend 9 peanut M&M's for $.25. This is very important to the consumer. If they don't get their money's worth, they don't buy or they purchase from other machines sitting next to mine or they take out their frustration on my machine.

2. The only places that don't want my machines are medical/dental/chiropractic offices b/c they are promoting better health and candy doesn't make the list, chain stores because you have to talk to Head Quaters, low-traffic stores because my machine won't get much business, & banks because the colors don't mesh with the more "elite" places. That's o.k. because there are a lot of places that want my machine along with stellar customer service. Plus, since I locate the machine for FREE and service it regularily and swap out quarters for dollar bills each month, my accounts love me.

3. The yellow U-turn color stands out, draws attention and shocks people. It forces them to take a second look and that look is what gets them to buy. Plus, I always keep my machines cleanas well as bug & worm free.

I've had my nervous and discouraging moments as well as my victorious days. That's just being in business for yourself. I contact 10 businesses and count on getting one to two machines placed simply because I believe in the law of averages as well as the 80/20 rule. One day I placed 7 machines. My attitude was amazing that day and it came through. I have to forget about myself completely and make it all about them.

There isn't much I can do to change those of you who are already upset, but I hope that if you are considering going with U-turn, that you'll be open-minded and focus on what the machines will do for you when you apply yourself. If you are new to this and are afraid of debt, start with 10 or 12 machines, place them in industrial break rooms and pay off your debt quick! There are people out there who have more time than I do to relocate machine after machine. I have about 8 days a month to work the business as well as service my machines. I relocate as I can and on days when I am happy; I seem to get farther that way. Pray, listen, and if you feel the Lord leading, purchase; then locate as fast as you can! If you get discouraged, take a break and do something fun; when you are in a good mood again, locate some more. My best to you!

Vending

Just b/c the companies state you can make all this money is one thing.

I treat it as a business and thats that. I think that when anyone besides myself get into this business you have to really understand what you get into and then go for it. This business isn't hard at all and does take time and patience. I don't know how much the machines costs but theres no way your going to make that money back in 5 years and I don't care how many places you try. Its so something to see whats on Ebay.

When everyone really finds out how determined someone is then some people actually do give up.

The charity part is easy and then by placing them. If you can't confront owners you don't belong in this business at all.

David from Seattle I know who your referring to.

1. Uturn machines suck.
2. Loss profit those machines would take 10- 20 years to profit and get money made back. The company your referring to I bought 30 units and its getting better.

You people better watch b/c I'm going to be the king in this area.

The reason they had to switch a different company was b/c the FTC thats why. I like the machines and do what I have to . I just have to watch my expenses. WHY DO YOU DO A LOCATING COMPANY? The location companies don't care about you they want money. Understand english.

The charities are easy to deal with and easy to utilize at locations. I offer free advertisement at any locations I have.

Bogus, what you guys are saying!!!

Did you buy your machines with cash? You didn't get a reciept? As I am sure that you paid with a credit card because that is all that U Turn accepts, you could have filed a report with you Credit Card Company and they would have resolved the dispute immediately. But I guess since your "claim" is bogus you would have never thought about doing that.

False information on BBB

This is Tami again from U-Turn. David is correct we are a paying member of the BBB, but his claim that they hide reports on paying members is false. In the ten years that we have been a member of the BBB we have had 2 complaints filed against our company. We are given a chance to resolve these complaints and then the information is posted on the BBB website. You can see that with in the last 3 years we have had one complaint that was resolved to the satisfaction of the customer. If we had not resolved this complaint to the satisfaction of the customer the BBB would have posted that information, regardless of the fact we are a paying member. The BBB prevents people from filing claims that are not valid where this website lets anyone who wants to post a complaint. I have not seen any information about our company on this website that is true. I have been unable to match a customer with any of the names or areas used in these reports.

Before I bought my machines I did look at the BBB reports. The bureau is a bunch of crap. One company I researched had zero complaints, but the BBB failed to mention that the same owners had started and failed at another vending company and cost their customers thousands. How about some disclosure!!

It seems that each bureau has different relationships with different "customers" and the information they are willing to share varies by region. Obviously, they know where their bread is buttered and when you have a paying member/customer, they are reluctant to share negative information.

I am a representative of US Vend Technologies, LLC we manufacture and sell the U-Turn vending machines. I have searched our records for customer information that matches with this complaint and have been unable to find any record of this customer.

If this is a true complaint, I would like for this person to please contact me. These complaints do not represent the way we do business and I would definitely like to resolve these issues. It can't get any worse!

You and me both. I feel like a moron for joining up with this Uturn!! I have friends that encouraged me to go into the vending business because they were doing great (and still are). But they have smaller and more functional machines.

Unfortunately, I was turned on by the colors and the fact that they were "different" - every location I tried to put them felt the exact opposite!! NO ONE WANTS THESE MACHINES IN THEIR STORES!!!!!!!!!!!!

I bought a "package" from Uturn in June and have only been able get in touch with Gary once since then. He said he would "call me back". Still waiting.
