I'm a 5 stars driver, and among the 10% of the top in the state of CT, with many favorable comments (copies attached) I going to do this as short as possible;

1- In Uber any complaint no matter how illogic will be lead to arbitrates discounts of drivers earnings, without ask or consider the worker side of the history; if the driver want their money back have to fight back for several days before the company return the money if they finally do it. 2- Arguments so stupid like the driver did not took the "ideal route", make that some one in the UBER office calculated the route in an app and without take in consideration Traffic, weather, accidents or maintenance routes works or ask the driver the reason why he/she took that route also lead to discounts not question ask to the customers. Comments like the client had an "unpleasant ride" is reason enough to make significant discount of drivers money.

3-The "ratings" are also a fraud,for example I had 4.56 stars and received during this last days several 5 stars from riders, but the 4.56 no change, 2 days ago a customer gave me a wrong address and I had a hard time to find the person, this customer gave me less than 5 stars and immediately the classification went down to 4.55, even in a case of vandalism by a client my stars went down. We all know that UBER blackmail the drivers and sent warnings if the stars going low to 4.3 or less; no matter if you have an excellent work history. There is no doubt that this is intentionally manipulated by the company UBER no take in consideration your driver history report, background, experience, or professionalism, only the possibility of lose a customer is what really matter.

4- Incredible claims by riders saying that the driver start a trip in the wrong place or drop the customer in the wrong location is also take seriously by UBER and lead to discounts; the company perfectly knows where we picked up the client, the time, miles and where the rider was drop by the GPS, so how is possible that UBER take this complaints seriously?

5- Reject a request or cancel can be reason to lose the job the acceptance rates have to be high, even if the request is from faraway and is not business for the driver to take it., if we are obligated to accept over 85% requests are we independent contractors or employees?

LYFT

1- With Lyft I'm a 4.81 stars driver, safety, cleanness, etc had being classified by the riders as PERFECT.

2-Lyft do not pay the return tolls like UBER or many other companies, when a driver going to the NY airports and back are doing a job for LYFT, but they pay only the way to the airports. They pay to us the Ezpass fare of the bridges, but I'm not believe they pass the saving to the customer, the Ezpass is mine not belong to Lyft so any saving have to be pass to me no to them.

3- They obligate the driver to accept all the request or they flagged the account and threaten the drivers with a account cancellation. Lyft is new in CT, so 85 % of the request coming from far away, so the driver have to go 25-30 minutes to pick up the client, but the ride is 5 minutes away to the train station, means we lose money. If the driver intent to call the customer to inform them that we are 30 minutes away we can not because they block the call, we neither know the final destination until we arrive to the place

4- The Labor Department have to do something with this companies, many of us literally depend of the job and they are using us as employees but without any rights or benefits. If we are independent contractor they cannot obligate us to accept all the request or 85 % of it, they cannot fire us because we cancel a request due to the distance, or discount money of our payrolls at will for any complaint from the customers; remember that we pay the gas,insurance and maintenance of our vehicles, they only collect the money. There is another very serious issue with both companies, we pay our insurance, but in case of an accident the regular insurance do not cover us, because we are making a profit and working with the vehicles, any of them had tell us how they will handle an accident situation there is nothing in writing in the app or anywhere that tell us which position they will take in case of damages, etc.

This is VERY IMPORTANT for the thousands or Lyft and Uber drivers.

Please do something for the CT workers.
