uhaul lost my trust for online registration and using a credit card to hold your rental at a location and anyone who rents from uhaul should read this information .
i went online on a sunday morning to find a uhaul open closest for rentals an it was very limited but there was a couple uhauls the website said there was a trailor the size i wanted in east montpilier so i reserved the trailor with my credit card at a location 45 minutes away in east montpilier vermont ,
i also preregistured and got the adress to pick it up , this is where the TRUST was broken i get to the location the gentalman was nice but he did not have the trailor ... i just drove 45 min no trailor the web site said it was there so he looked it up called 2 places and come to find the trailor in barre vermont ,
so i said the the gentalman about the $50 uhaual advertises if the rental is not at the location he said i would need to call their 1800 number and to be nice ,
so i went to the second locastion to pick up the trailor the person was nice there too and again mentioned the $50 for the incovienence he also said call the 1800 number
so i made my travel to NY dropped the trailor off at a uhaul and mentioned the same $50 situatation they kinda thought for a second and said good luck with that with a chuckle ...
well i call the 1800 uhaul number and i was super nice and i get a woman at uhaul who was super rude and put me on hold and then hung up ,
so i call back i get edward he was good he put in the request then with in 30 minutes or less i get a call from UHAULS vermonts reginal manager JEFF ...
well his every other word was you didnt read the terms and conditions when doing this online and they have 24 hours to call me and confirm the trailor is there i said what ?? i reserved it at 830am i was there by 10am to pick it up the trailor wasnt there the ONLINE WEB SITE SAID IT WAS THERE ,
JEFF THE REP said over and over you didnt read the terms and conditions saying its A PREFERED LOCATION DOES NOT MEAN ITS AVAILABLE , SO THIS IS WHERE UHAUL LOST MY TRUST ...
THEIR $50 CASH BACK IF THE RENTAL IS NOT AT ITS LOCATION AND YOU GET DIVERTED IS A CON UNLESS THEY CALL YOU TO CONFIRM THE RENTAL IS THERE BUT ITS NOT WHEN YOU GET THERE ...
YOU HAVE TO READ THE FINE PRINT IN THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS OTHERWISE YOU WASTED YOUR 90 MINUTES WORTH OF TRYING TO MAKE THEM GO GOOD FOR THE $50 ,
TO SUM THIS UP WHEN YOU BUY SOMTHING OR RENT SOMTHING ONLINE USUALLY ITS IN STOCK AND READY TO GO BUT NOT ON UHAULS WEB SITE .... I DID NOT GET THE CONFIRMING CALL BECAUSE I WAS PICKING IT UP WITH IN A FEW HOURS OF RESERVING IT,
THE ONLY REASON I THOUGHT IT WAS AVAILABLE WAS BECAUSE THEIR WEB SITE SAID IT WAS AVAILABLE SO DONT TRUST THEIR WEB SITE CALL THE LOCATION IF THEIR OPEN AND MAKE SURE ITS THERE , DONT WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THEIR WEB SITE OR TRYING TO GET REINBURSED THE $50 DONT BOTHER PUTTING YOUR CREDIT CARD INFO ONLINE OR PRE REGISTURING IT DOES NOTHING TO HELP YOU
AND JEFF THE REGINAL MANAGER LEARN A FEW OTHER WORDS BESIDES TERMS AND CONDITIONS .....
WHEN YOUR SUPOSED TO TRUST A NAME LIKE UHAUL YOU SHOULDNT FEEL THE NEED TO READ THE TERMS AND A MILE OF FINE PRINT WHERES THE TRUST ,NOT EVERYONE HAS THE TIME TO READ THE FINE PRINT .
YOU SUCK JEFF THIS SHOULD HAVE BEEN AVOIDED BUT YOU COULD NOT SEE MY POINT .

I can confirm their online registration is deceptive and awful. They make promises they do not keep and they lie. They allowed me to 1) Reserve a truck. 2) Make arrangement for people to help me. On the move day, the move help is on their way and I go to get the truck. They refused to rent to me. Keep in mind, this is after I made the reservation online and paid money. No go. Refused. It was the weekend. They couldn't give me a reason why. They just weren't allowed to rent to me. I had to send the move help away. They lost money. I got my money back but was told to call back on Monday. I spent close to 2 or 3 hours just getting these UHAUL fools to tell me why they refused. Finally, they accused me of never returning a dolly I rented. This was shocking. They said it happened 10 years ago when I lived in Philadephia. I then asked them to do some research because I suggested maybe their branch lost it. It took a coupld days but they then admitted the dolly was found on another truck but would never rent to me again even though it was not my fault. I was stunned both at them blaming me for something I did not do and causing the moving help to lose money. No matter what I said, no matter whatever way I said it, they laid blame on me (the consumer) for what their branch did. I couldn't believe it!
Also, beware of a professional Rebuttal associated. Gloria. UHAUL pays her to file responses with promises of "doing something" if you call her. She is just as much of a fraud as UHAUL is themselves. Over 500 Ripoff Report complaints! Think of the many who have no idea how to file a ripoff report. Or the many more who have been ripped off by Uhaul since it's been in business. They are an AWFUL company who should have been forced out of business years ago. I can't believe people still do their business with them.
