UMR Insurance UMR refuses to pay claims over a year old Wausau, Wisconsin

After receiving a number of calls from a UMR claims supervisor and her ill advised moves, we have contacted the Indiana Insurance Commissioner.  UMR has outstanding claims they are refusing to honor, when it is clear from our medical care providers that they submitted the claims up to a year ago.  I was paying over $800 monthly for this ripoff insurance, and not only my claims were and are a constant fight, but many others in my company felt they had a part time job fighting these people.  In speaking with doctors and clinics and another insurance provider, we were directed to the insurance commission based on these contacts.  The new insurance company couldn't believe they had the gaul to have us ask them to process claims for an insurance carrier other than the insurance carrier at the time of the claims.

This claims supervisor directed us to call the new insurance plan and get them to pay the claims under our new insurance.  We knew what was coming next, but did as instructed.  The new insurance company also told us a complaint to the insurance commission was appropriate.  The doctors offices and clinics were all in network, and they have provided proof they filed the claims in a timely manner.  They have stated what UMR is trying to pull cannot be legal.  So we fight with UMR no more.  We'll let the government agency regulating their industry deal with them.
