union workers credit union uwcs i am a 73 yr old grandmother on social security. i was sent a letter stating i wd receive a credit card if i sent $37 dollars, which is a lot for me, this came out of my grocery money. dallas, Texas

If you would have taken just a few minutes to actually READ the offer, you would have seen that it is NOT a "major" credit card such as Mastercard or Visa, but is actually nothing more than a "catalog shopping" card.
Furthermore, if you couldn't afford the $37 fee, how were you planning on making even a minimum monthly payment to pay back the $500 you were going to borrow??
This simply doesn't make sense.
