United Airlines - United Express - Ted Journey to Nowhere. ripoff Los Angeles California

I booked a flight a few months in advance to get a good seat to where I was going and was very happy with the price and baggage rules etc. It was the first time I used United and it will be the last.

The day of the trip the flight was delayed out of Los Angeles which put me into Washington DC too late to board my connection to my final destination. It was 13 hours before they could put me on a plane to where I was going so I was forced to rent a car out of Washington DC which cost me $506.00 to get where I was going on time. I had to drive 5 hours and pay for a tank of gas.

United lost my luggage and refused to file a report so I could locate it at that time. I had to buy all new clothes for my trip and got there 7 hours late to my destination.

United tried to force me to buy a new ticket for the return trip saying they had canceled my trip. After discussing it a while they reactivated my ticket and made me sign a waiver that if my lugage was lost I would receive no compensation. This signing of the waiver being done after they had already lost my luggage.

Sure enough, my luggage never made it home to Los Angeles.

I am a frequent flier and it was the first time I flew United Airlines. I will never fly United Airlines again and I hope anyone dealing with this company reads the fine print before they buy their tickets as it is unlikely they will make it where they are going, have any baggage awaiting them when they get there, -or even have a boarding pass to get back home.

Look elsewhere. I now understand why United Airlines is bankrupt.
