For mothers day, I ordered flowers from proflowers. The next day, no delivery. UPS sent the flowers to another city over 45 miles away?

Today, I was supposed to receive a package from Bose. By 10:30am. UPS supposedly had a 20 minute flight delay. Now at 3:30 pm, UPS thinks my package is still at the Ontario Airport hub, but really can't be sure. And even though the package was supposed to be delivered, guaranteed by 10:30am, now UPS isn't even sure when my package will arrive. Tomorrow, Saturday? Monday? They don't know.

UPS used to be good. When I called, someone answered the phone quickly and politely. Unfortunately, no one at UPS knows anything! How frustrating. They see the same info we see when we are using UPS' shipment tracking feature.

From now on ... I'm using FedEx. I'll request it just to make sure my packages don't get mishandled by UPS again.

Agree to be ignorant!!

AUTHOR: Maria - (U.S.A.)

Please post the tracking # here, or readers will assume ignorance is the problem on the part of 'Dngrwill'. Readers here can't validate a claim or offer assistance as we can't "see the same info we see when we are using UPS' shipment tracking feature." As the other poster indicated, no carrier can be held liable for weather or air traffic control at airports. With a little thought (that Dngrwill did not apply), a 20 minute air traffic control delay can have a serious trickle effect with deliveries. Other planes must depart without shipments, trucks can't wait or their contents will also be delayed, etc.

A 20 minute delay may delay shipment after a 10:30 delivery. Barring serious weather delays, it will be delivered next day. The restructuring for alternate delivery must be done at the site of the delay. It it done as promptly as any human can possible do it, but takes time for the entry and updated information to reach other servers for other personnel and people waiting for their Bose box to see online. This Dngrwill is not only also blaming air traffic control, but also the speed of the internet as passes between departments. One bit of trivia: UPS honors claims based on flight delays outside of their control. FEDEX does not. Dngrwill will get the silly Bose box later the same day or perhaps by 10:30 the next business day, then can get a full NDA shipping refund. Sounds like a great deal to me!

And a side note for the Masonismyangel responder. I've owned a reputable shipping business for almost 10 years. In that time, we have not seen 'a stack of Overnight Next Day shipment' as a total accumulation of late deliveries between UPS and FEDEX combined. We have shipped literally tens of thousands of NDA's without having a 'stack' of late deliveries like that in almost a decade. We have also packaged many, many thousands of shipments without shipping damage. To have a problem of that magnitude, one should consider the source. Dngrwill states having in possession many NDA shipment that were sent out. Why did they come back? Were the addresses incomplete or incorrect? As far as damage goes, we have always had claims approved as long as industry packaging guidelines were followed. Claim denial is when a person cuts does not bother to meet standard guidelines and, in many cases we've seen, simply violated all common sense.

Unless Dngrwill posts tracking #'s here for verification, readers have little choice but to write Dngrwill off as a slandering crackpot.

Ups IS rip off! I have a stack sitting here, of Overnight Next day air early AM deliveries, that didnt get there until 3-5 days late! Some of them didnt get there at all!!! They have TERRIBLE customer service! Had it been something unimportant it wouldnt have mattered however these were PAYCHECKS for our employees!

UPS damages our products, but tells US that they do not qualify for their stupid insurance.

They are ripping people off right and left. I just may die of old age prior to my local manager calling me back. I have been waiting for 2 weeks!

Simple ignorance.

AUTHOR: Tom - (U.S.A.)

Why are you blaming UPS for the flowers? Were you able to see the actual shipping label that Proflowers created to confirm the address they entered?

Why are you incinuating that an indicated flight delay did not happen, or that shipping carriers can overrule weather or traffic controllers?

Why aren't you able to understand that there are other factors outside and beyond carrier control?

Are you really that ignorant that you believe there aren't thousands of similar complaints with Fedex each and every day? Perhaps you should investigate protocal reasons before flapping your mouth. Let's hope your boss, or other significant party, doesn't blame you for every consequence related to you.
