Urbanq ripoff on promised rebates Urbanq Internet

I ordered a Jacket from Urbanq 1/2001 with a promise to rebate the entire purchase price. When I received the jacket, the required proof of purchase was not with it. I emailed Urbanq for several weeks telling them this, with no response. I finally mailed what I had for rebate paperwork, explaining there was no proof of purchase.

After several months of no response I emailed them several times about my rebate. They finally sent an email back saying they were refusing it due to no proof of purchase. I told them again that it was not with the jacket, they said that was "impossible".

After a few more months of emailing back and forth, they finally offered to "sell" me another proof of purchase for a $15 fee. I figured I would take a chance and sent the money. They mailed the proof of purchase and I resent the rebate forms.

That was the middle January 2002, and I still have not received any rebate. Now they have $115 of my money. I have emailed them several dozen times and they will only send a form email back saying they are very busy and working on responding to emails.

I know I will never get my money, but I will pester them as long as I can.

Do not use this company!! If you try the rebate, I guarantee you will not get it. Do not even order merchandise that doesn't have a rebate. It is very shoddy and they will not let you return it, although they say otherwise. If you return anything to them, you just never hear from them again and the will not respond to your emails.
