Around the 29th of April, 2013 our office was contacted by a Ben Rousch with US Homeowners Marketing. He had an excellent sounding offer. He would guarantee us the sale of 25 homeowner policies if we purchased his leads. We would pay a flat fee of $450.00 and would be sent a lead daily until we sold 25 of them, no matter how long it took. One of the primary selling points was that these leads were to be people who were actively buying a home. They were to have closing dates set and contracts signed.

These were to be what are called warm leads. This means the people were supposed to be expecting a phone call from us. They were even supposed to have some silly password set up. "The persons favorite color". We did initially recieve a few leads, a total of 6. What we found was the people did not want a phone call from us and were rather irritated because they had been inundated with calls from agents all over. So needless to say they were not warm leads. That was lie number 1.

One person who was actually willing to speak with us informed us that they did purchase a new home but it was several years ago. So that would be lie number 2. these were definitely not people actively searching for a new home or insurance. We continued to plug along with these leads doing the best we could with what we had already paid for.... well... for six days anyway. After we recieved 6 leads he just didn't bother anymore and stopped sending them all together. We sent him emails asking for our leads. No response. We called and left phone messages asking about our leads. No response.

After reading some of the other customer complaints in this website I am inclined to believe this man is nothing more than a scam artist. One person has the name of the man who contacted him as John Rousch. We were contacted by a Ben Rousch. Another person was contacted by a John Anderson. I also noticed just now while filling out this paperwork that they do not even have a website. I really do not believe this is a actual company. I believe it is just a con artist making the rounds and he will probably try again with a new company name. Make sure you thoroughly check out a company before purchasing leads... well anything i suppose.

When I first wrote down what happened I put down that they did not have a website. That was wrong. The DID have a website address. It was www.ushomeownersmarketing.com. If you look for it now it does not exist today. He has obviously already moved on to a better con. probably has a new name and contacting more people. One thing he did do that was not included was directed the person in our office who bought them to look at yahoo. He had somehow got his name listed there so she assumed he was a valid company. thanks
