I am a resident of a subdivision located in Houston, Texas and served by the U.S. Postal Service.
For 2&1/2 years +, we have been trying to have a "package Box" REMOVED!!!
This "package box" is located on a major street that runs thru our subdivision, and is no longer used because a new mailbox has been installed which includes package boxes. The package box is severly marred by rust and graffiti.
We have taken our complaints to local and state U.S.P.S. sites, and we keep getting the "runaround".
All we want, a seemingly simple request, is to have this graffiti and rust laden box, that is no longer used, REMOVED!!!!
Our latest "runaround " is " If it doesn't have an eagle on it, then it's not ours". Then who owns it???? ( By the way, under all the rust and graffiti, you can make out an "eagle").
We are paying "thru the nose" for constant increases in postal rates, so what are we getting?---Mail delivery????? No other services???
This is a rip-off!
If anyone knows who we can go to, ( in the vast ROR audience) for an effective soluation to this problem, please let us know!
I will keep checking the ROR reports under U.S.P.S. for any answers!
