The "Bronze" Usa2Me PO Box offer for a one-off payment of $23 with no ongoing fees - initially looks like a good deal.

However, if you should ever like to add your wife's name to the box "for an additional minor fee" - you are in for a surprise.

Some clicks down and well hidden it transpires that this "minor addition fee" is actually $5 "per additional name PER MONTH", which equals $60 per year ONGOING.

You would thus almost be able to afford THREE wives per year, if they each opened their individual PO Box instead of being affiliated to your box with Usa2Me.

The fact that such a request implies a significant (more than threefold - and ongoing) increase in your Po Box cost - is kept more than low key. You actually only find out when checking your credit card statements. And suddenly, you realise that it would probably be a pretty good idea to double check the small print to see what other "services" your card could be automatically charged with by this con.

Questions

AUTHOR: Safeermo - (Qatar)

POSTED: Tuesday, November 04, 2008

Hello
I have been planning to do business with this company for my online business, which is how I decided to come to ripoffreport and check on this company. My question is how can this report be confirmed to be true. What if the individual who reported this is just working for another similar company, just mad because he did not get what he wanted, etc. or any number of unexplained reasons. Can someone kindly guide me on if I should proceed to start doing business with this company?
Thank you.

#1 UPDATE Employee

Bronze plan is a good deal - refund offered

AUTHOR: Raul - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Thursday, March 29, 2007

As the complainant says the "Bronze" plan is a great deal for only $23 with no monthly rental fees. This is specially true for those customer who use our services very sporadically and receive very little mail in their mailboxes. No other mail forwarding company (that we know off) offers such an unexpensive plan.

However it is also true that the Bronze plan is not designed for customers that receive mail under many different names or for many different people.

The additional name fee is mainly geared for the other plans (that have a monthly fee)and for which an additional $5 per month does not represent as significant an increase as for the Bronze plan. (the fee is the same no matter the plan).

Therefore it is correct that in some cases where the customer expects very little mail for more than one person, the customer is better off by getting multiple bronze accounts at $23 each than paying the $5.00 monthly fee for each name. In fact we have many customers that choose to do precisely that.

We take this complaint very seriously and are concerned that the complainant finds that our rate sheet needs improvement to make this fee more clear. We will certainly take this into account and attempt to improve our rate sheet in our next website maintenance.

We are an honest company and always strive to satisfy our customers. Should this complainant choose to contact us directly and request a credit for any past additional name fees we will be glad to analyze and honor his request.
