Mailed a package in April from L.A. to Ohio..

When it arrived (in pieces) TWO Weeks later, I filed a claim on-line.

It was insured for a Whopping $20 .......

I presented receipts & photographs as instructed, and received an acknowledgement.

 

Six weeks LATER, i get a letter (unsigned) from the "Superintendent" of claims In St. Louis, MO, stating the claim was denied, because i didn't respond in time!!

 

I wrote the following Day!!!

Guess they didn't get the e-mail, altho I have the scknowledgement !

I didn't want to send Snail-Nail because those incompetents would have LOST it, so I figured they can't lose ELECTRONIS Mail

 

No Wonder the over-paid Nloated claims dept  and the whole USPS is in the TOILET!

From now on, i'm using UPS/Fed-X

Read it again, Dummy - 

I was insured for the item...

I am a Pro Shipping clerk ... the package could have been drop-kicked and it wouldn't have been torn apart & squashed like this was!

 I filed the claim The DAY AFTER receiving the item, on-line using The USPS guidelines & INCLUDED photos & receipts AS PER INSTRUCTIONS.... The "inspector" didn't respond for nearly 1-1/2 MONTHS!!!

To the guy above "Postal Inspector" you are not stating facts. I just read through this man's post and he has apparently did everything he was suppose to do. You must be the person in question he was speaking about. Because you sound VERY DEFENSIVE and RUDE and are ATTACKING A COMPLETE STRANGER.

You have added nothing to this conversation at all and I believe HIM, NOT YOU. 

You sound like a TROLL.

 With your poor packaging, underinsuring, and not following the proper procedure to file a claim, it is no wonder you have a problem. You think UPS and Fedex is better? You are in for a shock. And I don't work for the postal service just stating facts.
