Vania Chaker represents herself as being employed by Baker and McKenzie. She IS a lawyer in the state of California but she does not appear on the BM website.
Ms. Chaker has also represented a Mr. Del Nero in a court case against a credit company. It is in no way illegal to represent a family member but, these two did some name changing in order to sue this credit company. Mr. Del Nero is her relative who uses the same last name, Chaker, in all other court cases...except the one she represnted him in.
Mr. Chaker is popular on the internet and in court for being a vexatious litigant. I would be very cautious when dealing with a lawyer such as Ms. Chaker, who finds it necessary to have her client change his name because he is her relative. Something does not seem right there.
Before hiring this lawyer, check her bar status to see if there are any complaints for fraud and misrepresentation.
